[Music] this is stage three of the Lloyd’s tour of Britain It’s our Queen stage from Kelso to Kelso in the Scottish border area It’s a really difficult one It’s 143.8 km We got five categorized climbs up ScotsW and Dingleton twice and one time up Denon Hill We’ve got an intermediate sprint on the finish line at 53.7 km and many meters of elevation And also a huge factor influencing the race today was the rain in Scotland Kristen Forner first row here behind the race car in the green leaders jersey She started today with 4 seconds on Rihanna Marcus 12 on Wallist 14 on Ferguson 14 on Swinkles as well We had some early attacks Emily Fan was one of the early attackers Same goes for Tiffany Keep but it would come down to the climbs That was Umber crack picking up the points on Dingleton and Dominica Vloic on Dunan Hill That was at 78 km from the line It was not the day of our race leader Kristen Forner She had to change bikes quite early on pacing back and she would also be involved in two crashes An important moment in the race are the bonus seconds here on the line in Kelso for Ali Wiston Three and two for Cat Ferguson bringing them quite close together on the general classification Yeah after a second crash you can see it on her legs It’s Sarah Roy pacing Kristen Forner back Asian Shuran Sudal after winning the opening stage saw Kim Lor crash yesterday and Kim Lor had to abandon the race This is the third time for Kristen Forner that she’s involved in a race incident The second crash for the American and Olympic champion our race leader And also look at Ruby Roseman Ganon there going head first into the hedges again Nina Berto has to do the work and try to pace Kristen Forner back But the third time trying to get back to the first group It’s it’s just going to be too much for Forner and when she has to change her shoes Yeah you just have to applaud her at this point that she’s even continuing the race after so much bad luck Julia Borgstrom then she attacks trying to make the most of it for Aian Shan Sudal but it would come down to the final climb of the day that was the first category climb of Dingleton Cecilia Utra Blut here for the Canyon Tran on the crypto team attacking on her wheelcap Ferguson We have Josie Nelson up there Ellie Wston and two riders for UAE team ADQ Elonor Gasparini and Caroline Swinkles the number five in the general classification Meaning that with Wallist Ferguson and Swingles we have the numbers three four and five in the general classification And Rihanna Marcus in this group behind They work well together Our six leaders with Ali Wiston in pole position at this point virtual leader in the race This group though working well together they didn’t get any closer to our now five race leaders cuz due to a very untimely mechanical Cecilia Udi dropped from this first group and we’re down to these five names on our way to the finish line in Kelso Only 3 seconds between Wallist and Ferguson in the virtual general classification meaning that whoever of these two riders wins the stage is also our new race leader Gasparini starts the sprint from the first position But it’s Cat Ferguson there in the white leaders jersey Best young rider who’s going to win the stage Only 19 years young She wins the stage takes the overall lead and is only the third British stage winner in the Tour of Britain in its history An emotional day for many riders We uh lost riders due to crashes but also emotional in a good sense of the word for for Cat Ferguson who won the stage and is our new race leader And here’s Kristen Forner What a horrible day for her So much bad luck for one rider it’s almost impossible This is the stage result Cat Ferguson wins ahead of Josie Nelson Ali Wallist Swinkles and Gasparini And then Millie Cousins winning the sprint of the Chasing Group And then we have a British rider in the leaders jersey Her name Cat Ferguson But look at the differences in the general classification Only 3 seconds between her and Alli Wiston with 19 bonus seconds tomorrow in Glasgow

  1. We spectated on a few points, getting around by bike, the weather really did turn horrible in the afternoon.

Good event and well put on!

  2. What a dire commentary. Repetitive (one lady said 'actually' five times in one sentence!), full of repeated cliche, and almost no knowledge of the topography that they were passing through. What a pity that such an important event could not find someone with a better command of the English language!

  3. I expect Woolaston to win the race on the last stage with that many bonus seconds lying around.
But today well done Cat Ferguson. It's crazy how good she already is for someone that young!
