[Music] welcome to Dolby Forest where we have the start of stage one of the 10th edition of the Lloyd’s Tour of Britain just 81.5 km two categorized climbs one’s called Blakeley Ridge and the other one much steeper is called Langburn’s Bank then we have an intermediate sprint in Newton under Rosebury before we finish on the seaside in Recar just 81.5 km but 900 m of elevation for the 110 riders the first Queen of the Mountains here on Blakeley Ridge where we had a little bit of everything we had some rain we had sunshine but sadly we didn’t have any wind cuz that could have split the pelaton out here on the exposed moors here anuska Costa with the yellow helmet of the Unex mobility team takes the six points on this Queen of the Mountain sprint many world tour teams here but also the five continental teams from Britain with the H cycling team CJ O’Shea Racing D Hutchinson Hanseling Alberta development road team and Smurfett West Rock cycling team and we also have the national team of Great Britain led by Chris Newton we stay here before we go on the descent towards Langburn for the second categorized climb which is a lot shorter but also a lot steeper pelaton still mostly together but that will change on the steeper Lang Burns Bank kristen Forner the American champion and Olympic champion from Paris last year makes her way to the front as we go through the village and on the lower slopes which are the steeper ones on this Langburn Bank we see many riders in trouble but not the champion of Lege Bastonia Lege we saw her fight back to that first group on La Hos Fukong in the iconic classic in the Adens and Kim Laor takes the initiative here on Langburn’s Bank 1.9 km long 6.6 6% average kristen Forner there as well anna Henderson of the lead track team and many riders in trouble kim Laor Pina stage winner last year in the Jer as well takes the points on Langburn’s Bank with Kristen Forner in second caroline Swinkles up there as well very steep and tricky descent but these two riders navigate it really well the road book indicated the uh pinch points really really well also warned for sheep and we didn’t see many sheep on the side of the road but luckily they stayed on the side of the road and we haven’t had any news of sheep on the road and accidents happening kristen Forner the American champion kim Laor not the world champion but the champion of the island of Maitius in Africa they worked well together the gap yeah it never got bigger than 30 seconds for over 35 km but despite the work of Moi Star who had three riders in that first group with Makai with Udanique and with Cat Ferguson and also FDI Suez with Wallist Kak and Lun they never managed to close the gap completely lorena Vivas the European champion and out andout favorite for this stage she’s kind of trapped in this group she has none of her SD Works Pro time teammates up here and that means that she just has to wait and hope that the group is brought back but that was not happening it was a sprint between Lour and Forner and in the end it’s Kim Lour who comes out on top half a bike length on Christristen Forner and 5 seconds down Lorena Bibus who has to settle for third here in red carp just under two hours of racing kim Laor she attacked on Langburn’s Bank kristen Forner managed to bridge across and they now have a nice lead in GC as well and look at how small the group there is many riders finished at almost 2 minutes and can already say goodbye to their hope for the general classification in this Lloyd’s tour of Britain kim Lor Forner Viva Saneniti Ferguson Kusen Chastra Wallist Tom and Zera Vanam that’s the top 10 great to have some local riders from the Stockton Wheelers and Cleveland Wheelers giving out the uh jerseys and the trophies to Kim Lor she got three jerseys the general classification the points and the Queen of the Mountains there was one classification that she’s not eligible for and that’s the best young rider and that goes to Cat Focus

These women are exerting themselves so much. What if they damage their lady parts and can't have children? How can their husbands allow this?
Kim Le Court-Pienaar's jersey looks almost identical to the World Champion's kit — that shouldn't be allowed. If every winner dresses like a rainbow champ, the real jersey loses its meaning. UCI, time to step in!
81km? Any particular reason why it was so short?
Blakey Ridge ! NOT Blakeley !!!
Wonder how many bikes got stolen at Redcar 🤣😅
great race, but wtf are those graphics in the beginning? they look like they were made in 1998
HaHaHa, Tour of Britain, the most southerly point is Dalby Forest.
Great race but wtf are those distances?
When is the mens tour of Britain, isn’t it usually late in the year?
Well done to these two staying away for so long .But the chase group were very poor Lidle trek and and UAE left it to Movista .and Picnic riders .Just hope this is not that normal race tactics for to this tour .But good to see the beautiful scenery of the North Yorkshire Moors .And a good ride from a very talented young Yorkshire rider in Cat Ferguson.
