day full of action we actually just wrapped up the finals in the UCI BMX Freestyle Park World Cup with the women and that means we’re getting ready for the finals for the men my name is Agon Teams and I’m being joined today by my good friend and BMX expert Ryan Williams let’s go i’m so ready for this oh my gosh the time is now we just actually wrapped up that uh the finals of the women where we saw Sunub taking the win Ozawa Miharu in second and Hannah Roberts in third now we have the men and if we take a look at the list I mean we have world champions we have Olympic champions from all over the globe ready to battle it out here on the river banks of the Les i mean and just to get here they had to beat so many people we had the semis the other day and then it cut down to 12 now and to make that 12 was just an accomplishment in itself we started with I think a bit over 60 riders I think it was and now we’ve boiled it down to the 12 best and now you see in the park I got to ride this park like in the morning it was like 8:30 a.m but the jumps are huge the thing is it’s not like a normal skate park you see like at your local it’s it’s everything’s above head height you can’t see the landings you head into the boxes like this and the thing’s like 8t tall on both sides and so steep just to jump it is a a feat in itself hurricane Parks of themselves again with the construction of this park setup and look at the crowd i mean it must have doubled just in the past hour everyone’s getting ready everyone is in the scorching heat of the south of France 26° yeah we’ve been battling the sun some people getting heat stroke just in practice and not being able to ride so the sun is another factor and the wind not too bad so should be a good contest those are all the BMX enthusiasts but also all the people of Mier who we want to thank for their hospitality and letting us have this party here now the finals how is it going to go in the UCI BMX freestyle world cups we have two heats of six riders every rider gets two runs of 60 seconds each and it is the best run that will count for the total score that’s the way we like it one run do your best 60 seconds [Music] wins the best look at all the umbrellas to find just a little bit of shade from the sun everyone’s staying hydrated everyone’s getting tan lines 28 years maybe a bit sunburn even you spend 10 minutes and you’re sunburned out there right now so we got the judging criteria what the judges are looking for obviously difficulty it’s like how hard are the tricks height flow kind of similar things just do you who pedals the less at least you know style obviously how do you do the tricks variety switching it up are you doing tails bars but also tricks that people don’t see that’s going to give you extra points Mistakes are going to keep you off the podium and our riders are getting lined up riders from the US from Great Britain Argentina Japan Australia and of course a rider that was raced not too far from here winner from last year that is Anthony we got the judges you can see them sitting in kind of a bird’s eye view of the skate park they can see absolutely everything if you slip your pedal they’ll see it but uh they’re up there keeping cool hopefully got some fans up there to keep them cool because they got a hard job ahead of them mhm i mean they have to check all the criteria keep that in mind while watching the rider perform his or her run these are some top experts that’s more than 100 years of BMX experience in that judging booth so what happened yesterday yesterday we had the semifinals where we had 24 riders we’re going to show you guys some of the highlights from the semifinals all 12 all right you see there Kenneth Tensio Superman huge air like higher than everybody else 720 tower just the boys put on a show you had to if you didn’t land your run completely you weren’t making it through there a 1080 and this Kennethio the hardest trick I would say of the day flip whip drop at the start of his run and he’s not even here in the finals that’s the level of riding that we’re seeing it can get brutal in these semi-finals [Music] and look at all those people mier make some noise for yourselves the biggest and best contest of the year the best BMX fans on the planet hands down we take a look at the course a big big shout out to Hurricane let’s go m Pierre how you feeling brian Williams what’s up dude let’s go i’m stoked to be out here i obviously came to Feast last year and they sent me the invite this year and I said “Get me the ticket now i cannot wait to send it in best trick best trick is going to be tomorrow right are you excited about this i’ I’ve heard some rumors Ryan oh gosh i don’t want to let anything out of the bag do you have anything special for the fans at M Pillier this year look if I can land something as special as I’m planning I might end up back in the river again but we’ll we’ll see we’re just going to I’ll keep it on the zip but it’s going to be a world’s first you know I don’t come here not to do a world’s first though hopefully send it tonight at the spine best trick and then send it again tomorrow let’s go so make first run too got up run two yeah got through mike now you’re going to see all of Great Britain all in a row presenting team GB Dylan Hass i mean they have four riders in this final so they must be doing doing good job with the UK team representing British cycling Miller Temple [Music] so I was talking to Jordan and they all did like an Olympic training before this so it’s crazy to see them flying in a row it’s like they all did the same training jordan Clark if I’m not mistaken they also have like this big air hanger like airport hanger where they actually installed the course cycling and huffy bicycles nick Bruce a fan favorite Nick Bruce absolutely sent it i couldn’t believe the tricks he was putting down in the semis olympic gold medalist from Argentina Jose the Olympic gold medalist the revelation of 2024 representing team Japan this is Reo Nakamura i was going to say like the highest air is probably between those two right there mhm we’ll see who gets it today champion representing the USA Justin Dow the world champion bronze medalist also first night representing Australia cycling gold Olympic medalist Logan Martin aussie Aussie Aussie oi multiple world champion presenting team France the French are going bananas [Applause] even in the TV booth our production is going bananas as well in our ears can we do a Can we do a face in Australia your number one seems like an advantage usa powerhouse Marcus Christopher this guy like the way he he used to race BMX so you tell when he takes a crank yeah yeah because often times Cranking is is frowned upon but when he does it it’s to go higher and bigger than anyone else best fans in the world 12 men enter one man leaves champion [Applause] [Music] well the French know how to party i hope they’re hydrating over there cuz it is stinking hot yeah I’m sweating from any glance possible and we’re inside yeah we we have AC i think they need to turn it up now you just you were just wishing for another fees in Australia well they actually um did a press release I think yesterday or two days ago about the plans for 2026 up until 2032 and feast wants to go global again and they were hinting at a possible world series stop in Australia please the Gold Coast Brisbane somewhere close to me and then I can bring all these animals to my house and they can absolutely send it all right first rider up from Loai California the nice guy from Loi welcome him in France from the USA Bryce cool guy from Loi i think that’s what they said cool guy or cool guy cool guy he’s both he’s cool and nice so Bryce snuck in obviously you see him there he’s the first one to drop and that’s because he was on the bubble he just made it through his first run in the semis he crashed he hit his head we weren’t even sure if he was going to go again he went again and thankfully he did because here he is in the finals cuz it knocked the wind out of him that knocked some senses too some brain cells as well but here he goes he attacks this course he’s switched so he spins to his front foot there’s a 720 tail whip landed a little swirly but he’s going to gather that speed back basin transfer transfer the opposite wall cuz he’s going to boost this one foot invert some of the best inverts in the game that he has and he’s probably going close to the highest double backless i was going to say he’s going close to the highest error as well he’s giving ribs what was that oh that was weird he like so in semis he was doing a onefooted table flare and that looked like he took a hand off to me that looked like his hand came off but I’ll have to watch the replay i’m not sure i think maybe after the double flip he landed to the left and to hit the quarter to the bank you have to be kind of to the right so I think he opted not to hit the quarter and maybe he didn’t get quite enough speed for the flare table that’s my That’s my guess but we’ll have to see the replay because I believe obviously he’s not going to get as much speed if he doesn’t hit that quarter and launch up to the top but here we go that 720 double uh 720 whip sorry and he lands a little bit backwards but pulls the brake drops the front wheel back down there’s that truck so this is that seven whip again so you see he’s going to land a little bit back he’s got brakes pull him yeah quickly recuperates with a 540 okay so that transfer this one table that’s a beast of all they didn’t play that’s all right here we go bar spin bar spin okay let’s have a good look at this so this was the huge double had to put a crank in so I think he’s going to the left here and I think he went too far to the left to get back to the quarter so instead he chose to look back but then didn’t land maybe with enough juice for the one foot table but we’re going to see the double flip again so lands a little bit to the left can’t hit the quarter like he normally did in his semis run and I think he just didn’t have enough speed for that flare one foot table but we get two runs that’s the best thing about this format i mean he he had fun in Yeah i mean I I seen his semis run and it it was amazing so I’m I’m excited to see him get back on the bike run two recuperate just like he did in the semis you know he proved that he can do it so we’ll wait for run two that can be the redemption run for Bryce Try but first team GB Great Britain from Mercy side Mike Hullock the younger guns GB setting it up so watch this guy has bar spins so fast 360 bar spin bar spin tuck three bar to win double tail there going to get some oh 900 900 on the the big quarter paying respect to Matt Hoffman first one to do it 360 bar spin no hander down the step down I can’t explain how hard that is triple bar spin on the 12th quarter 720 bar two bar spins in the 720 two revolutions and two bar spins he’s still got 15 seconds transferring getting speed for this spine and box jump again what will he finish it off with oh he didn’t want to do that but that’s okay keep it going oh no yeah it’s like he kind of got like just lost you know it throws you off your focus he was so focused all the way till that flip almost seemed like he wanted something else in that flip obviously here in the finals but then he just kind of mind blanked at the end and the thing that sucks about this is they deduct you for falling so even though he did such a good run if he hadn’t if he just did nothing there and he just rolled out he probably would have got a better score than actually trying something and falling over but let’s watch this run back three bar spin bar spin no hander picks his hand up mid set 360 bar spin to tail whip all right and then he goes double whip but watch this please keep this replay going nope he did a 900 after that but we missed it but this probably even better than a 900 maybe 720 fast spin bar spin up the step up that thing is hard to jump you can see he only caught the last half of the transition but these guys put one pedal in and if you get a good pump on that ramp then you back into it the dropping down you don’t need that much speed for let’s see this let’s see what he was looking at like yeah maybe a bar spin so one thing you find when So when you go to do a flip bar you have to like do the flip and sit back this he runs into the side of the ramp so we’ll watch this but hopefully he didn’t hurt his ribs there so when you flip bar you you have to set your body back during the flip and I think he was kind of a little bit too far forward and maybe he didn’t pull hard enough so he couldn’t sit back and do the bar spin so chose to just do the flip but we got another run so it doesn’t matter and Mike is setting the new highest score with it 624 this is uh not just heat one i feel like this is heat GBR heat great boot then cuz they are taking over heat one right now all right Dylan Hessie no no worthy for him mate he’s going to do a 540 flare and he’s going to make it look like a bar spin there i hope I don’t jinx him but Oh my gosh triple bar spin 360 triple tail whip all right table air and then maybe we’re going to see it right here nice and quick five footy flare just like I told you easy ass as like butter so many rotations going on in that run on Dylan Hessie he has started this run absolutely firing blair Bar on the 12 quarter landing with enough speed to make it across that’s it he’s going to gain gain it back for this step up yes 720 bar step down this is a hard step down to get good but look at that landing smooth transition to the top of the park again heading to the box bar spin tail whip he didn’t have he didn’t have much speed but he sucked tail whip in after that bar spin in a back flip all right double play yes it got two seconds left that’s what I mean like he just That’s it you just finish it there finish it with a full stop a double flare the first double flare of this contest what a powerhouse i’ve seen even the the qual the qualifications the semifinals you see the double flare here in the finals on the first run this though back flip bar spin bar spin bar spin on the step down spine that step down spine is huge it’s scary just to jump straight and he did it at the start of this run and this 540 play I told you makes it look so easy mate come to Willyland i’ll teach you 900 players easy he’s does it so good 720 bar i really want to see that flip bar whip because he kicks the whip yeah I feel like he was he sucked the tail whip in because if he stayed extended during that flip whip he would have cased he knew it he pulled it in this is it we’re going to see so you can see he’s going quite slow you can almost he’s going to case tuck it in and see yeah he even did kind of tag the back wheel a bit but because he was kind of loose on his bars so which is a good thing oh my gosh I can’t talk over this double flare because he knew he was clean on the flip bar whip he he was able to case and have it not affect him i think the first rider to do the double flares in competition was was it Kieran probably probably he doesn’t 91.40 welld deserved in first place on his first run how did He’s got another run that’s what I’m saying like how do you feel after doing that well like he set up quite a challenge for the other competitors this man is incredible all right Miller Temple i just met this guy he’s awesome i was having a chat with him during qualifiers and he threw down so hard in semis as well to get here with the big boys hasn’t been riding that long i wondered if he rode scooters or anything before because the way he rides a bike is incredible that 360 windshield wiper landing so smooth double flare no you could tell he kind of overcooked it you have to stay more straight in the first flare otherwise you come in over rotated [Applause] [Music] unfortunately coming off there but still team GP is bringing the heat and if you’re wondering if someone is missing then that is Kieran Rally unfortunately he had um an incident right after Rebel featured event he actually I think he he got hurt at the end yeah I was going to say he went bowling uh and took out Andy Z so I think that was maybe when he did hurt himself but he did it doing a 720 triple tail whip so Kieran if you’re watching speed recovery oh he kicks it kicks in the middle too watch this so hopefully they show this so he flares he’s going to overro so he spun a little bit too much that’s why when he come out of the second one he almost did the the spin in the first flip so then it’s so hard to not to neutral flare in the second rotation throw that one away but I mean just showing you the potential looks like he’s bleeding on his uh his elbow probably man he just stacked a double flare a bloody elbow is pretty pretty good after a double flare our next rider he has a scooter background and he’s been competing in BMX Freel now for a couple of years and he is taking over the scene by storm he’s got pizza on his gloves because he’s about to eat let’s go oh damn it damn it damn it oh he’s still going to get it that’s all right so Case on the flip bar so adding that flip bar to his run oh my gosh she’s going to double play so no Jordan and you know what i almost feel like that’s a blessing in disguise as much as I hate to say it like he stuffed up that flip under under flip bar you know at the start of his run it’s like okay he he was about to turn it up go 100 miles an hour when he stuffed up the start of his run maybe it’s better he’s conserved his energy here comes back run two if it starts anything like it does without the case we’re in for a treat that double flare was beautiful by the way i can’t believe he did it on that that rampant to do to gain the speed to get a double flare done on that huge ramp is a skill in itself here you can see he’s going to just gase that back wheel slips a foot sitting down managed to roll away 720 we you know we wanted more in that run but the the case fully throwed him off but I mean just the fact that like slips his foot keeps on going 720 double down whip and then how much speed yeah you can tell he needed speed for this double flare he almost lands in a manual honestly the king of doing double flares on a scooter and then oh you can see so cuz that’s curved it’s It’s good that he got to show us why that’s so hard to do so cuz it’s curved if you hit it to the right there’s a chance that your front wheel slips out or your back wheel and that’s what happened right there so you want to hit it straight on the middle of the the hump of the ramp so that’s what makes it kind of difficult especially coming out of a double flare and we are ready to go with our next rider one of the great all right representing the USA Nick Bruce i’ve seen some tricks that I’ve never seen from Nick Bruce in the semiinal so I’m excited to see what he’s going to pull out here we might even see an air traffic controller that’s up to you to explain dave Miro specialty oh I was going to say it looked like he was coming in no even better than air traffic controller that’s a 360 back flip tail whip straight into a downside flare whip this transfer is awesome getting speed he’s going to This box is huge double back flip do it do it do it opposite 360 back flip so that was normal spin then into the oppositation i hope the judges appreciate that cuz the ability to do that that both ways is absolutely incredible there’s not even that many people that can do that oh gaining speed oh windshield windshield windshield so he did back flip opposite tail whip to normal tail whip i’m not sure how bad he slipped his split there with Oh he pulled off a lot oh no he didn’t oh my gosh i’m right now the last seconds do it for Chelsea do it for Fernando yes wow pull pull [Music] i’m glad he used those gold pegs maybe could ice for us Nick a mate i It’s a You got to beat a 91.4 though it’s like the tricks were all there there was a I want to see the windshield wiper back flip it was hard for me to see like you you can’t tell without the slow-mo he may have slipped a foot or he may have just landed on his crank arm so his foot kind of stayed up but on his crank arm anyway this flip helicopter that’s what Catfish calls it it’s probably called that flip double whip this is awesome i cannot I don’t know how he gets that kind of spin in a three flip with the tail whip straight in that three those three tricks in a row is incredible to start the run but this that box is so big flip so he’s going to go normal and then he’s going to go oppo so that’s like at home grab a piece of paper try to write your name with your opposite hand that’s what it’s like it’s just it feels impossible unless you do it all the time like Nick Bruce okay we’re going to see this here so normal he does normal whip first and then Okay he’s You know what happened his He’s landed on the pedal with his shin so it’s kind of kept his foot up in the air but technically slipping a foot but his pedal kept his uh leg off the ground we’ll see how it that pedal slip will impact the score but still 88.10 i’m going to go out on a limb and say it was that pedal slip that cost him the first place because just at this level even though Nick I I think that Nick had the tricks to beat to be in first but I think that slip cost him the um the score all right I have a 100 he’s going to break that 90 point barrier all right Bryce let’s get it buddy he’s going to show you how tough he is come on Bryce he was sending it in qualifying he was sending it in semis now he’s here in the final this is where it all counts this is what he put in all the hard yards for for this run right here in front of Feast Melier full crowd he’s going to get some energy from the crowd oh Bryce focus focus focus one foot life my friend 450 bar spin so much speed 720 tailwind landing oh man you know what sucks you know what sucks he landed so good on the 450 bar that that’s why he crashed cuz he landed so good it almost gives you a false sense of like okay like now I just do the trick normally whereas the last run he might not have landed so clean so he kind of did the same thing as the last run but he had more speed and just the slightest over rotation bryce do not worry about it mate you had a crazy feast on Pelleier he’s going to get back on the bike I think i think he’s going to do some do some tricks for the crowd he’s like that but mate you he crashed in semifinals he could have hurt himself right just there and then but he made it to the finals he gets to put on a show for feast this what we like to see oh backy turn now love that let’s see a flare one foot tapes please oh he’s doing it again sorry yes you okay so he was not trying to do a flip flare tape he’s doing like a a flare knack seat grab if I’m Forgive me if I’m wrong he’ll probably uh tell me if I’m wrong but it kind of looks like a flare knack seat grab like we’ll have to ask the video production to have that in slow-mo maybe good i want to see what happened on this uh 720 tail whip i feel like he just landed so perfect on the 450 bar that it almost he spun the seven whip nice and quick perfect but it just was a little bit too much speed so maybe we’re not going to see a replay on that one unfortunately but Bryce you’re a legend mate well done making it this far in against the craziest competition in the world everyone’s here there’s no Olympics on everyone’s here to win this Fast Melier World Series incredible first run he made it all the way to the finals with a little bobble at the end still working on price score okay we’re going to see some replay here we go so this blasting all right rim Jose you got to beat that totally inverting that frame [Music] yeah he gets creative in that tobog clicked fully clicked okay I want to see this come on please get to there please let it play let it play let it play i’m going to have a with TV production 420 he got 420 that’s all right it’s a sign 4020 same thing right whatever what do I know i’m not commenting on that 4020 all right here we go team GB doing it for radio bikes and fuse protection flare across the channel case that’s okay no oh come on Dylan oh shoulder’s out popped his shoulder out popped his shoulder out I think maybe yeah usually when you hang your shoulder like that it means you’ve popped it out pull it down pull down catfish a slight mishap for I think maybe we need a different person i don’t think Catfish is good at putting shoulders in he’s doesn’t have the body weight not sure if he’s a a medical professional he’s telling him what to do he’s saying twist can we get a professional in there yeah yeah sweet good job Cat just pull on my arm and twist kids don’t do this at home it’s back in you’ve got 10 seconds left imagine that wow a dude that’s such a bummer i feel so bad for him but again making it all the way to the finals here at Peach One Pier that is Here we go we’re going to see this so huge flare across the channel case and it’s his right arm whoa yeah I’m glad he jumped off there you could tell something was wrong so when I say case for everyone at home watching a case is where you hang up your back wheel maybe you don’t have enough speed maybe you don’t pull off the ramp enough and your back wheel lands above the coping which is the metal strip across the top of the ramp and it either slows you down a lot or it can even pop your shoulder out so he’s going to stick with that first run score 62.40 stretching or something we’ll definitely see him again later this season make some noise for our next rider from team [Music] our current leader sorry if I’m wrong but I’m pretty sure our current leader yes our current leader he finished off with that double flare last time i said “What could we possibly get from him this run the bronze medal from the European Championships in Switzerland from last year you get a full pull.” Like then it’s like what do I do now it’s kind of just like I can go nuts oh my gosh the flip triple bar landing so smooth 360 triple whip table got the 540 flare on the last one he’s going to do it again like a bartman i told you like so clean keep the speed keep the speed it’ll be interesting to see what he switches up to change up this run bar there you go an extra bar spin added there keeping the speed 720 bar spin wow this run is coming together flare down win that’s another ad he might have even added X up to that 360 and then here this is where it went a wild so Bin tail perfect that was even better than the last time he did it upside down this run is very similar to the last it’s going to come down to this everyone hold your breath let’s go one more extra so good yes and then Bman out and do it by don’t count that as a crash that doesn’t count as a crash so he’s added to his score he did we said “What could he do?” He added the bar into spin to that flare bar on the 12T quarter having his moment there in front of the feast male crowd he is stoked on that run i mean the only opponent right now that he has is himself with that 91.40 score i’m trying my best to remember where he’s at i know i think he added with the flare down whip i think that obviously a lot of the the tricks were cleaner i think the flip bar to tail was a lot cleaner this time that was even cleaner than before impressively enough I couldn’t believe it got any cleaner this everything was so good textbook 5 foot flare like that height on that ramp the madness that we see at these World Cups this flare bar spin to bar spin perfect and then he keeps the speed for this 720 bar straight into the flare down whip which I think was added sorry if I’m wrong he 3x up down the step down i think that was new this flip bar looked so much better look at that that was so perfect perfect landing in the ramp bar spin bar spin and then obviously this at the end like even bigger i I’d say that this one was even bigger cleaner double flip and then jumped off in front of the crowd i mean it’s 100% a better score it’s just to see where the judges put it is it two points better three points better and it’s 93 flat i don’t remember the scores from semis but I think that is up there i think that I’m not exactly sure where that would have put him in the semis but the fact that He put that run together incredible man he’s got to be stoked representing Great Britain all these guys throwing down that training week is paying off they’re being coached by the lights up okay let’s see miller Temple all right Miller 720 this windshield wiper this is where he came off the pole he’s going to do it again yes perfect there you can see he rotated less in the first flip and then that allowed him to perfectly spin the next flare okay transfer it’s a good way to get speed with this quarter flare bar it’s good to see people doing good tricks on that quarter after that transfer back into the 720 whips he was just going slow you could tell he had the juice to spin right at the end man it’s to do all those tricks and then to come unstuck on that 720 tail whip it’s so easy to do though that cuz you just you do so many tricks you get so exhausted this guy’s only halfway through his run he’s done like 15 tricks that include a double flare and the three windshield wiper windshield wiper if you don’t know what that is it’s an opposite tail whip to normal tail when you kick oh nice 540 flare for the crowd and you kick the frame he actually kicks in a different spot people usually kick behind the seat but he chooses to kick the middle of his frame which I would feel like would be harder but maybe the body positioning makes it a little bit easier for him but here starting off with that 720 at height and you’re going to see hopefully this replay three down whips so he’s up in his bars so yeah he kicks it with the side of his foot kind of like a scooter style but there’s the double flare and you can tell that it was coming in so much nicer this time then he’s like “Oh yeah i’ve got the rest of my run to do.” Flare up all right so three down here let’s see i I think he just didn’t get quite the spin you can see he’s trying to juice it and his front foot’s not on the pedal so that’s where he would have lost the spin you can’t lock into the spin as much when you don’t have your feet on the pedals you’re kind of just going for it you know if you’re in practice you would bail on that but could you ride in the finals he just stays on hopes for the best 45.8 bettering his last score but not going to be enough to stay up there getting a tap on getting a tap on the shoulders from Declan and Greg so Declan Brooks and Greg Ellingworth the two coaches in the Great Britain team all right Jordan coming from a scooter background he absolutely smashed he’s been a multiple world champion on scooter he’s trying his best out here on BMX let’s see how he goes with this flare oh under under flip bar spin transfer the foot clipped down no watch out almost ended in the river ah man hey just for the crowd man it’s It’s just so good to see the potential that’s there you know he’s only just been doing these contests recently so it kind of you get the experience and you can kind of improve every time he’s doing these contests on BMX he’s improving and the amount of people that he had to beat just to get to this point in the finals is impressive in itself but here the transfer under flip fast spin landing so smooth 720 bar i almost didn’t catch the bar was that quick i want to see this double flare cuz yeah the angle didn’t do it justice this angle is going to do it justice look at the height and the speed i wish I could do it that good you cannot do a better double flare than that perfect execution flare at high height pedal didn’t push through enough on the 360 he was doing triple bar in semis and that’s a scooter trick right yeah that’s a that’s called an inward bri flip so what happened there he actually got stuck in like a no foot can position and this case ah so he got stuck with his foot to the side but somehow managed to get it over and landed like on his shin on the pedal and then casing on that is so difficult to land i Some of the guys have been able to do it but if you’re doing a back flip you’re carrying momentum into your back wheel so if you case doing a back flip down that step down it’s so difficult to hold on and it kind of bar like the bars shake in your hand when you case and it kind of made his hands slip off the bars i have this feeling we’re going to see something really special here from Nick Bruce because the way he’s been riding he has been on fire all he did was slip his foot a tiny bit on that windshield wiper flip and I think he’s even got more than what he did in his first run he wants to add he wants to add another medal to his collection the bronze medal from Shangai yes perfect flip double whip three blip oh almost looked like he got a little bit stuck oh my gosh i was like how is he going to do this i thought he was going to do the flare down when he did a whip windshield wiper flare oh he’s got no speed ah it sucks you need so much speed for that big box that it’s like because he didn’t get enough speed on that transfer it was just no shot of doing a three flip so he chose the smarter option of just getting over the box but he’s going to wave that off i mean I would give him extra points just for the waving to people of Moya well he probably will get more points that counts as a one-handed ride right it’s a few extra points but I have a feeling we’re going to see Nick Bruce back at Best Trick i have a feeling which I’m scared about cuz I want to do Best Trick and he’s just going to send it i know but unlucky there just It was I thought it was done after the uh three flip whip you’re going to see he does the three flip whip it kind of stops so catch doesn’t you see how he’s like oh like just gets it lands to the left turns in rides up like a few inches of the ramp and then decides to do the even harder trick you just know in his mind he was set on doing that before he did the flare downy and that see that is a trick that’s probably a 01 on the score and he’s got a little bit more there well done Nick absolutely sending it going to stick with the 88.1 really like a good score ladies and and we’re halfway the UCI BMX Freestyle Park World Cup men’s finals we just had six riders do their two runs with Dylan Hassie on top now breaking through the 90 point barrier with that 93 points and look at that crowd it’s coming out in force they know what’s ahead we obviously had the first six riders but the next six riders qualified higher so they get the advantage he is your 2024 Olympic gold medalist so as we said welcome back here at the UCI BMX Result Park World Cup we just had the six riders with their first run but for the next heat we have Olympic champions we have world champions Olympic diplomas Fast World Series winners in this heat and the first one we’re going to kick it off with is the Olympic champion and the American continental champion Jose Elmino Torres yeah you know just an Olympic gold medalist just two Olympic gold medalists in this heat he has a very unique style he goes higher than anyone he goes faster than anyone oh transferred aliu 360 whip oh double whip my my apologies oh his pedal spun on that flare down whip very unusual to see him crash a trick like that he just did a 10 i’ve never seen him do a 1080 that was beautiful so he did an alley transfer this transfer is like two or three meters across and just jumping the spine straight on the step down is insane and he did an alleyoop 360 double tail whip so he spun the opposite way that he was traveling and did a 360 and two tail whips and then went straight into a 1080 [Music] he didn’t take the title of uh Bryce Tryon for highest air just yet i don’t think I didn’t see I think still got it still got it but Jose is going to come back in round two with an avengeance I’m sure so at the Olympics of last summer after the event of BMX freestyle at the blaz he flew back to Argentina had a meeting with the president and then they had to fly him back to Paris cuz he was going to be the flag bearer of Argentina at the closing ceremony how good is that 360 alley double tail there’s that 1080 landing maybe a little bit to the left so here you can see the size of this and you’re going blind he he can’t see until he’s finished the spin 720 and then go straight into a 1080 i think he lands everyone’s landing a little bit to the left right see and then they have to swerve back so maybe when he swerved back he kind of switched his feet up and then when he kicked the flare down which is usually a trick he does every single try maybe his pedals spun we didn’t get to see the replay but uh usually he stomps that trick so I’m assuming that’s probably what happened but we really want to see that 1080 again 1080 first performed in a due tour by Mike Spinner back in the days yeah I think I think it was X Air New Zealand it was X Air in New Zealand he did a 1080 and a blue blue box jump i was actually talking to him recently about it so impressive stuff but here Imagine if your name was Mike Spinner you’d h you have to do the 1080 you have to if it was Mike Flippy it’ be the triple flip familiar face all right here we go another challenger to the high air contest and Rim is just going full blast from from the start of his run it’s just 110% as you’re going to see 720 noander back flip bin tast spin t no hander so three combos in a flip oh my gosh he spun it i cannot explain how insane that was he used to he was just doing tough no handers over that gap he’s the only rider doing that gap in that direction with that trick oh he landed one handed oh he doesn’t even get it yes that’s extra points come on oh look at that one footed tabletop if there’s He’s just He’s got a battery check this guy for batteries he must be How does he have so much energy 360 double down it’s a Japanese technology 360 windshield wiper oh a look back no he got caught on the look back i mean that hip is taking people out unfortunately it’s just so awkward it’s not flat it’s curved you hit such a messy thing you hit it awkwardly like when you’re exhausted and you just It just throws you off the bike i am lost for words for that was it a truck driver over the step the biggest obstacle he did it backwards so not many people are even hitting it straight how you jumping blind and forwards the right way and he’s doing it the opposite way i can’t wait to see the replay this back pin no hander and we’ll just do another bar maybe even opposite direction opposite direction he’s known for that double down with so slow and stylish this please play it wait and then okay they’re going to play it here all right so Oh they’re not playing anyway he did the hardest trick oh he did double bar so you’re going to see his hand come off here but he just rides away with his armpit on the handlebar i feel How much of a deduction is that cuz it’s not really I don’t know it’s like an extra trick i mean he’s still in control right yeah okay windshield wiper so normal whip to opposite whip in a 360 and this Oh my gosh he just like kind of kicked the look back out before he You have to put the bar over your back leg before you can snap it otherwise you kind of get stuck in a weird position he’s in third place with that like that just shows you everyone’s been sending it so it’s kind of like coming down to who can put down a full run yeah I think Rim got about 2/3 in yeah he got a long way through but it’s just interesting to me to see so many riders gone through and that has still put him in a third place position but I don’t think it’s going to be for very long now the world champion of 2018 the bronze medal from last year at the World Championships so he’s going to ride back flip bassin basin basin nose diving into the into the the down ramp oh flair whip so he’s kicking and he’s catching with his opposite foot i mean his back foot which makes it so much more difficult oh flair transfer i say it makes it more difficult but if you’ve grown up your whole life doing it then he makes it look so easy oh my gosh 540 Barin to look back air oh back with Bin kind of looked like he slipped up there that’s all right he’s going to recuperate only halfway through the run 450 tucker hand always does his tucker handers huge always full extension all right he’s heading back to the box 360 maybe looking for more on that but Oh he did it as well 360 they’re bringing out the big guns and there it is to finish it off okay oh blet he went for the briplet yes Justin i am tripping that 540 bar spin to look back air on that massive B quarter wow and then so he did the flip bar spin bar spin up the step up it looked like it got a little bit caught and he landed a little low and then usually he did a 540 flare in the semis but did the tail whip just kept it going that’s the most important thing keep the run going even if it’s not what you planned that’s three bar spins in a back flip this The Twix twix a bar spin and a tail whip at the same time in a 360 and I’m glad they call it the Twix cuz it’s such a mouthful there i don’t see him do flair whips that much and there he is busting it out 540 flare landing smooth this 540 bar spin look back air i reckon he’s the only person in the world doing that trick and then to do it there oh it was a bar spin bar spin back bar spin so he’s reverting the bar oh jeez that was That was even harder than I thought that’s crazy straight into the tail whip then perfect 450 tuck no hand up transferred over got speed 360 bar spin down whip you know that’s such a huge trick he just does it so easily that it almost is you like think oh and then sets this up that’s a great angle of you can see you are completely blind going into that 360 you do not know if you’re casing going too far until the last second of the spin 90 flat man you know what it’s kind of like the judges have seen what he’s done in the semis and they know there’s certain tricks he did on certain areas and it’s like they almost judge him against himself but to add so many of those tricks like the 540 bar spin look back I’ve never seen anyone else do and up the step up I was mistaken he did flip bassin bassin back but here Aussie Aussie Aussie oi Logan Martin is in town world champion Olympic gold in Tokyo 2021 qualified in third whip bar so smooth 720 bar spin bar spin Blair Downey landing the thing is you’re going to see Logan land so smooth and that’s what makes him stand out a lot from the crowd oh my goshair I mean 360 bars spin down whoa double down whip but high and we got to check his foot positioning cuz sometimes he does tricks switch footed as well really no opposite foot excuse me opposite foot oh my gosh flip that is Oh my the flip whip down the step down landing so much speed up this transfer whoa oh my gosh 360 okay okay what’s he got he’s going to triple whip this hit oh he’s got five play yes oh my gosh five more seconds time for one more hit opposite wow and he banked it you seen him bank it i just spat all over my screen in front of me unbelievable that 540 flare cuz he did the triple whip he kind of landed sitting down and then you have to reset for a huge 540 flare and I almost thought he didn’t pull right but he did it he got the run down Pat and that transfer I can’t explain how insane the transfer is that he and he did a 360 down whip to bar all right good luck replay guys all right so there you go perfect textbook 360 tow with bar spin 720 bar to bar so two bar spins adding to his semiinal run flair down look how perfect he lands on this look at you cannot get that any better tucking a hand this is so impressive so to tuck that and get enough speed and look how well he lands on this so 360 bar down whip perfect like you cannot land any better than that this is insane i don’t know what’s to what’s harder this flip no oh my gosh i don’t know what’s harder that or this i’ll have to ask him but the fact that you seen him question he’s like “Oh he was so slow.” He was like deciding if he was going to finish that off look at this oh my gosh i can’t explain how crazy that is i cannot put into words how insane it is to do a 360 down whip and then a such a slow bar spin on that that transfer yeah Logan waiting for that score don’t ask me i’m very biased right now that’s why I’m here in the commentary booth i’m I’m I’m intrigued how do you Where do you put that how far away from 100 and we get My my guess is he’s going to beat the 90 point barrier yeah pocket oh and he’s still going to make it yes 720 okay he’s he’s maintaining the speed he’s like traded out oh my gosh he’s traded out he traded the double whip transfer for a trick over that big box but he’s still got the 360 clean to recuperate oh flare whip will he make it to the corner yes opposite flare oh my gosh oh my gosh the aggressiveness he rides with unbelievable that’s what I’m saying this is like the solving of Rubik’s Cube at full sprint he landed a flip triple tail it which takes it all out of you you you like every 110% of effort goes into that and then he lands kind of crooked and he has to correct himself and go straight into an alley 540 flare yeah it’s just And then he did the double down like to combine that all together when you’re Oh we’re listening i thought they were singing an Anthony Shant maybe I’ll start singing it jean Jean okay here we go we’re going to just see the whole run probably here we go 720 bar spin okay this look very carefully at his body position so he was doing double whip and semi so he’s done a triple tail whip and then he’s going to land a bit crooked you can see how he’s kind of sideways right up a few inches of the corner of the ramp and then does that opposite way like Aliu 540 flare and then I wish we got to see the double down cuz it was probably the fastest opposite double down whip I’ve ever seen him do transfer look at the p picturesque over the feast sign this transfer double tail whip so if I can critique him all at all he didn’t have as much speed coming out of that cuz he did a double tail whip but then he recuperates straight into the 720 landing perfect and then I think was it a normal like he is the man this flare down he can do this with his eyes closed and his story started here at Fes as a young kid he came here to watch the other pros more than 10 years ago and he thought I’m going to get a bike myself now he come here now he comes here to win he won here last year the reaction from the crowd that we got was insane like we could hear it up to here in our studio without our headsets on oh man it’s like what do we do i’m not going to say anything because I’m not going to jinx anything we’ll let the judges decide this time yeah the thing is he’s doing a lot of He does a lot of good transfers and there you go 94.1 in the lead by 1.1 he beats Dylan Hessie he’s in the lead with another run to bank anthony John bumps up into first place with a 94.1 it’s crazy cuz you know there’s more like there is parts of the run where you know he can add and that’s the craziest part but there is one more rider to go our top qualifier from the semis Marcus Christopher and you’re going to see that BMX race background that he has cuz when he rips He rips part side of the course here we go with Marcus Christopher drop in oh I don’t ever see him do that that was a flip superman idiqu there on this one look at this pedal pedal pedal double tail transfer he pedals and it’s like he does three pedals compared to everyone else oh my gosh freeze tucked the box backwards perfect landing halfway that run haywood transfer landing with speed coming into the step up bar spin turn down 360 flare downward okay 360x up keep the speed going Marcus this is where it’s going to come down to like what does he finish this run off with this is where it can make or break the run double back blair stops it bl downward oh he gets up in the end one more trick table and sign 60 seconds of pure fire from Marcus Christopher lick the stand and send it wow man it’s like I that the the transfers it’s I wish I could explain to you all i got to ride this course right and the jumps are no joke you can’t see the other side of the jumps you go to a skatepark usually you ride up at to a 5ft box jump you can see where you’re going to land you cannot see where you’re going to land on this 7ft tall box jump and he Oh I’m going to wait for it but that was awesome to see back flip Superman Indie this one 2 3 4 quadruple 360 downside tail whip the only guy in the world doing that trick in contest yeah double tail whip transfer needing so much speed for that but he just gets it i don’t know i reckon he’s got batteries in his somewhere somewhere he’s got batteries cuz the amount of power he produces when he pedals this is cool 360 bassman turn down flared down whip you can see he’s goofy footed so it’s a flared downward but it looks a little bit different to when Logan Jose or Jeanjon does it i don’t see him double flip much but this was textbook perfect straight into this the flare look back X up dude dude adding so much i wish we got to see the back flip bar spin tail whip on that box cuz that was one of the highlights of the run let’s see where this is going to put him such a nice guy as well he was actually raised in a family of uh football players like American football yeah that’s where he gets all his muscle from I guess cuz Oh man i You see him with his shirt off his forearms a massive 95.2 yes i love that you know why I love that because mixed stuff up in the top three you know why I love that cuz everyone goes again and they get to chase him now and everyone can do it as we said this is the heaviest group of riders Olympic medalist world champions all powerhouses all massive talents come on Jose under pressure the evil one transfer tuck no hand all right this is where come on you got this there’s the one with Okay now he’s choosing to do the 1080 cleaner pedals okay chooses not to do the flare down whip let’s see where the rest of this run was meant to go okay he’s flying at the transfer though that’s like Oh my god flip double whip oh this I haven’t seen anyone do that transfer oh no he’s doing transfers no one else is doing on this course so it’s hard to explain the transfer he did with the bar spin up but basically the quarter pipe is back from where he takes off so he has to come off the ramp jump over the coping of the other ramp and he did a bar spin and it was like I don’t know how far probably about 12t transfer okay got 10 seconds left tuck no hand finishing it off maybe this whip he’s going to finish it off right there well done Jose coming back from run one getting a full pull in i hope we get a replay of that transfer no one else was doing i think there was two transfers I seen there that no one else is doing in their runs or have not done in their runs yet i’m sweating so bad i’m sweating so bad it’s getting hot in here in the booth i’ve got more spit on my screen okay here we go so transfer choosing to do the single whip but that kind of set him up better for this 1080 you can see one rotation two rotation three rotations so three 360s in one air chooses not to do the flare down whip does the double whip ultimately got him into the restaurant here we go you see there so the ramp is back further than the other one so you when you jump it’s so hard to aim cuz you have to pull out a certain amount and this is the next transfer no one else is doing he He didn’t slip a pedal there so I’m glad he kept going you’re going to see him squeeze his feet together oh okay maybe that changed he didn’t touch a grind I think yeah let’s just say he didn’t i don’t know the judges will know they’ll see the replay but the rest of that run so many transfers it 84.80 so there you have it the slip of the pedal maybe it his foot didn’t touch the ground maybe it did just few fumbles takes down the score so much it’s such a fine line in the finals like any small detail the judges take it into take it into the score okay he’s going to get it wild again the winner of Shangai in October last year is he going to take another World Cup win rim Nakamura losing his run was insane so flip our tuck to turn down this time double down with it this transfer truck driver huge transfer truck driver t-ball transfer enough speed for this oh I was going to say he didn’t throw the bar so smart because he knew he was going to come up short ah so that’s such a bummer for Rim he just knew like he could tell that’s he he’s been throwing the bar spin after that three every single time but he knew he was going to come up short and that’s the risk you take doing the transfer from the top of the skate park over if you just don’t go slightly fast enough you don’t land at the top of the ramp and you just don’t get the speed you can’t gather enough speed in that short span of time with pedaling to make it over that huge box jump 720 tuck no hander so I want to see this he switched it up flip bar tuck beautiful turn down alioop double down and he like slows it down so he just catches it at the very end and then this goodbye my lover goodbye my friend truck driver on the biggest jump here is a three whip with a case that’s takes body control to be able to case like that and still roll away like he absorbs it with his knees so impressive in itself I mean we’ll definitely see him again at the World Cups in Shangai and another World Cup stop at the end of this year in uh actually in Japan in the city of Sakai representing the Japanese so well obviously inspiring inspiring so many of the new Japanese riders too they all look up to him so much and look at the the amount of talent coming from Japan and it’s half the reason because of Rim Mhm because last year in the finals we also had uh Joji Mizugaki y then there’s also uh K Ozawa so Miharu’s brother still a lot of talents coming from Japan all right justin D Mr twix rides spins to his front foot so that’s what you’ll notice he kind of him and Marcus both spin into their front foot we call it bang foot or goofy footed but it it opens up so many tricks for him this split bar spin bar spin bar spin Twix perfect so much speed starting off a very similar run to his last one perfect oh wow he landed no oh oh I was going to say he was adding that to his run he didn’t he just did a flare the last time decided to try add pin man so tough to see so so tough to see you know he had so much planned like the amount of tricks he has in his dictionary of tricks is incredible and so unique like doing so many tricks that no one else is doing out on the course but unfortunately coming off on the uh flare bar transfer that transfer is getting a lot of people like it’s catching a lot of people at the moment i love how much he nose dives into this like so much trust in himself but that’s how he gets the maximum speed i almost thought he was going to do more than just the Twix here like he his feet weren’t perfectly on maybe he could have threw a basket at the end i don’t want to call him out or anything but I’m sure he’s done it oh fixed his foot there maybe on this flare fiveooty flare watch his front wheel i feel like it landed first before his back wheel yep and that kind of threw him off for this but almost still snuck it in just would have traveled too far into the ramp didn’t really stay off the the bank enough to spin it around with the pace of his flare there he’s going to stick with that 90 flat and we go to uh our three last riders but yeah as Catfish just said only two more riders that can really sway the top of the leaderboard although Logan is uh currently not on the podium so to this second run for Logan Martin oh my god no damn it he almost did it too good like if he landed he like went a little deep like if he almost landed a little bit higher on the ramp it was a perfect spin man such a tough pill to swallow man like cuz his first run was so good going for the three flip downside tail whip i reckon it’s the tape on his shoulder if the tape on the shoulder was flat he would have landed it it was the wind caught the wind there’s Juie and Alec teammates of Logan Martin for Australia all right let’s see this so easy textbook three whip bar spin at height pumps there 360 back flip down whip so he didn’t really kick the down okay that’s where I’m thinking he did it he got a bit swirly there he didn’t kick the down whip maybe as much as he usually does and usually when he kicks it it kind of meets him a little earlier so he had to travel more with his body to catch to up to the bike and that maybe maybe maybe came that’s why he came in not straight is what I’m trying to say hard i’ve never done the trick but from afar that’s what my guess is but are you ready for this i’m not sure what to expect i’m actually a bit scared with all the French commentators in this move and how about the crowd is M Pelier ready like they want to cheer him to that first spot cuz currently it’s still Marcus Christ from the USA sitting on that gold medal anthony with the silver but can he steal it away in his second run and still Marcus has a second run as well i know even if he does it let’s hope he doesn’t actually cuz then it’s even better for us it’s going to be quite a show if he can do it this could be the craziest final runs of Beast Melier ever let’s go 720 bar will he go for the triple whip again perfect this time clean so much higher alley ready play double down whip so he’s a little bit higher so now he doesn’t have to gain as much speed back you’re going to see he’ll have a lot more speed coming in to this transfer picking up speed setting up oh my gosh holy dy holy dy he’s going to do it he’s going to do it keep that speed yes the Superman Indian channel gap transfer he switched a flare bar to a double flare double tower transfer box 360 perfect again 720 yes flare down whip okay we’re coming to the end of the run here 10 more seconds i don’t know how many points he needed but this could be it bulmer up his sleeve flare whip oh my gosh time for the opposite flare last one three two one oh my gosh has he done it but I’m not sure if it was still in those 60 seconds no that was As long as his wheels are on the ramp that’s going to be up to the judges judgment no it counts it counts mate he has to be exhausted to do a double flare where he did the double flare is so technical and then he went straight into another transfer he transferred in double flare transferred out then did an opposite seat grab Indian opposite way across over the feast sign what was his first score run do we know that i know it was close i think it was a 94 right or 9320 mate i’m going to go out there and I’m going to say that he cleaned up that run enough he added the double flare over a flare bin this This was way cleaner one two three tail whips in a back flip and look how much smoother that was and then this alley because he landed smoother the alley 540 flare was huge and then straight into the double down went this at high mate to land so he landed with so much speed [Music] loves that one sorry that’s not that’s his normal but this whip so that was a normal but to do it over that gap is it takes so much skill than this i was worried about this mate that has less pop than you think that’s meant to be an up ramp for a step up and he’s doing an oppo flare at the end of a run after doing so many tricks try to run full sprint for 60 seconds and I don’t know do some maths equations and then at the end 10 muscleups maybe yeah and then try to do an oppo flare he’s handsome he’s very handsome i want to go out on a limb here and I’m going to say that this has given him that extra score that he needed score to beat 95.20 i’m going to stand up I think can I stand up i’m going to stand up is Anthony going to beat that score is the French Chushu going to take the win again here in his hometown of Melier we have the screw the cameras on Anthony on Marcus on the judges i have my eyes on the French commentators and oh my gosh Marcus Christopher takes his first World Cup win here in Oh my gosh protect Marcus Christopher but hey you got to look at it at the overall run like let’s Did Did Marcus have more amplitude maybe did he have more transfers maybe and where but I feel like sitting here you you you’re rooting for it because we want to see Marcus Christopher put together a run to beat his last run you know but his last run was so good and I mean the kid deserves it at previous contest he was going all in high risk high reward unfortunately looked at his first run they looked at the second run and they gave him what they thought they could they could get someone in the judging panel gave him like his 0 34 extra maybe i mean that’s how it worked but wow what a final it came down to the wire honestly one of the craziest feces I’ve ever been a part of i mean they’ve been a part of two and it just keeps getting better and better here at Feast Melier i mean it’s only the start of the competition season and I have a feeling it’s going to be bonkers look at that here we have the UCI World Cup standings now so Marcus takes a,000 points for UCI standings shanja with the 900 points and then Dylan with the bronze medal and this is just the first stop in October we’ll be heading to Shangghai we’ll be heading to Sakai which is pretty close to Tokyo in November so yeah is that Dylan’s first podium at I think at a at a World Series experience like the the smaller series uh but wow man shout out to him that’s that’s insane and obviously he did it in his first run as well I believe oh no he didn’t in the second run he I couldn’t believe how good his first run was that he even he did it even better on the second run i really ramp we still have scooter and skateboarding but in October we’re having another Freeze World Series and we’re going to Shanghai in China welcome to this Feast World Series here in Shanghai one of the greatest cities in the world Shanghai let them hear [Music] you all right let’s go it is always a battle in men’s final here in Bilier this contest was no different let’s find out who made it to the he got second don’t don’t mess with the French no incredible stuff i mean Marcus wouldn’t have done a run like that without Anthony standing on top of the podium standing on top of the podium for the first time in M Pilier how does it feel oh it feels amazing i really can’t believe it i put down the run i wanted to went 11-11 this weekend and uh couldn’t ask for anything better what do you attribute a lot of your work ethic to uh just training every day working out all the time eating good and uh our new coach Jamie Bestwick he helped a lot with this so thanks Jamie well you work really sessions where a lot of the final final riders of this final are riding as well and then October we’re going to Shanghai mate and tonight we’re going to the spine ramp about 1 kilometer down the road we got to send it there and then tomorrow best trick plus so many more amazing events here at Feast Pelleier yeah so later this evening we have the spine ramp set up with Ryan competing as well in the
