  1. It seems it has a lot of new parts on it, so I assume it rides fairly good. On the question if you overpaid, that depends on what you paid for it

  2. As long as you didn’t pay more than $50 you did ok.

    In the 70s it was ‘deluxe’ now, notsomuch. Take it as a hard lesson on how to research old bikes and what to look for. You need to find someone that knows and have them walk you through the differences between crappy bikes and really valuable ones.

    Agreed, if you enjoy riding it and it fits great, that’s all that matters. Sometimes it’s the price of something you’ll love.

  5. I like the bikes I’ve tried that have the classic ‘70’s frame geometry and the long rake fork you have there—looks good to me!

  6. That bike is the same quality level as the Japanese-manufactured Lotus Excel I bought for $240 in 1981. Very cool; I don’t think that buying that was a mistake at all but if you can upgrade from those horrible center-pull brakes. Those old center-pulls were horrible.

    If you are looking for economical short-haul transportation, it’s going to be perfectly adequate.

    I like it. If you like vintage bikes and how this one rides, then I highly doubt it was a mistake. Unless you spent like $400 plus on it… So what was the ticket? Also, what kind of steel is it made of? It probably has a sticker on it
