Here’s everything you need to know on how to get this photo spot in Mont-Saint-Michel:
First, you’ll need to get to the bus stop “Le Verger” just right next to the tourist office. Don’t take the free shuttle but walk to the photo spot instead! Here’s how to get to “Le Verger” depending on where you are in France:
**From Paris**
Train + Bus option
Take NOMAD train from Gare Montparnasse to Pontorson Mont-Saint-Michel. Next, hop on the public bus line 2 right outside the station towards Mont-Saint-Michel.
Bus only option
Take a 4.5h FLIXBUS from Mont-Saint-Michel from Paris La Defense and stop at Mont-Saint-Michel. Book as early as possible as this route is super popular so it’s regularly sold out. This option is not extremely reliable as we’ve had instances where the bus just canceled last minute. Train+bus is the recommended option in our opinion.
**From Saint-Malo or Rennes**
Bus option
Take BUS KEOLIS ARMOR from “Saint-Malo – Gare routière quai F”. Tickets are available online on their website.
Upon reaching “Le Verger”, walk for around 15 minutes towards Mont-Saint-Michel in the distance but keep right (visual guide in the video). Once you see an open field with a wooden gate on the right, cross it and continue walking straight (but please remember to close the door behind you and secure it). Continue on the rugged path for another 20 minutes till you reach a small bend. After the small bend, you’ll see the photo spot!
On Google Maps, the photo spot is named “Le Tchibidi”.

Ne vous aventurez pas seul dans la baie, l'eau peut monter très vite, les courants s'inversent d'un coup et il y a du sable mouvant.
Le Mont-Saint-Michel est un incontournable français.
Merci Marcus et Chelsey pour le partage.
What do you mean by “turn this direction” when get down from shuttle bus? It’s to your right or left? Can you kindly explain please?
Great
