Sup people. Just wanted to give a status update on my issue with buying the Kink Curb that ended up being a wrong fit for me.
Haven't given her a name yet but I ended up buying this Kink Switch for $130 under sticker price. WOW big difference from the Curb 20tt to this Switch 20.75tt. I did get a chance to sit on a Gap XL but that felt like a stretch limo.
Got some ran this weekend so not sure what kind of riding I'll get to do and get a feel for the bike more.
Is it common for our heels to clip the pegs. I re adjust my feet and feels a little funny. Read to get a half size smaller shoe…shorter crank..etc. may just keep the pegs on the right. Chain stay in this bike is 12.75 compared to the Curb 13.25 but didn't have pegs on it.
One last question….Black seat or brown? Brown makes it look fancy. Lol

I like the look of the brown
I started riding BMX on a Walmart mongoose in the mid 2000s in 2012 I finally got a better BMX bike which was the kink curb back then it felt good but after a year knew it wasn’t a fit for me anymore I kept bending the hitensil parts and snapped the frame just doing a basic 360. Honestly I wouldn’t even recommend hitensil bikes for beginners unless you’re 13 or younger. Going to a chromoly bike in the correct size top tube just feels absolutely amazing. The kink switch is a very good choice!
Foot hitting the peg could be the length of the crank arm, the length of the chain stay, or a combination of both. Only thing you can really do to remedy this is try a shorter crank or else run no pegs or get a new frame with longer chain stay.
