Well, it has finally arrived. British summertime is here, people. The beauty of wind and rain. Woo! And goodness, all that sunshine and blue skies has gone. So, here are reasons why riding in this kind of weather is better. Built-in hydration. I don’t even need a water bottle today. Free exfoliation. It’s a bit like a spa treatment. You know, like one of them ones when you go to Turkey and you get beaten by leaves. Tan lines look stupid. Grime lines is where it’s at. Same look, but you can wash it away. You get to play games like puddle or pothole. Yeah, risk. But, you know, fun times. It gives you an opportunity to work on new ways of swearing. Son of a slippy cleat. Holy shifter malfunction. The rain hides the tears. And last but not least, if you can make it through this, you can make it through anything. My first day’s commuting, it hailed, rained, and snowed. And I thought, well, if I can make it through that, I can carry on. We’re about 11 years in, so you know, probably true. All right, enjoy people. Love you. Bye.
