Okay, so I’m in Cambridge. It’s the first ever time I’ve ever used Uber Eats, Deliveroo, anything. We’re going to go online and we’re just going to see what happens. I’ve never delivered any food before. I honestly I don’t even know what to do when I get to the restaurant and pick up the food. Uh so it should be an interesting one. Let’s go this way. All right, let’s do this. So, I’m going to click go and we’re just going to accept whatever orders come in. If we even get any orders. I could literally just be waiting around for hours. I have no idea. Let’s go. Unable to What? I’ve got an issue already. Sorry. Good thing I brought my ID. Take my glasses off. Take my helmet off. Okay. All right. I’m online. Let’s go. I only had to verify about 45,000 things, but it’s all good. Finding trips. Let’s do this, brother. If you guys are thinking about doing this sort of thing, maybe use this video as a guide because I have no idea what I’m going to do. I know it’s only delivering food, but there’s a lot of nuances with the app. When you turn up there, you have to scan this, you have to do this, and I don’t know. Let’s find out what happens. I have no idea. Hopefully, I’ll be able to do it. I shouldn’t be too dumb. I am a teacher, but you know, I’m a bit dumb sometimes. Okay, we’re just arriving now at this place called Parker’s Peace, which is a such a lovely park in Cambridge that me and my girlfriend come to play cards on the grass. And it’s so beautiful when it’s sunny and there’s a wheel there. Heading into the town center now. This is Ryan’s first time doing Uber Eats. Might as well compare him to Mr. Beast. He’s on his bike going super fast. And you know he’s going to have a blast. It’s We got King’s College just over here. We got some beautiful sightes around the corner. There’s like a really nice river which maybe I’ll go to while I got time. Let’s see if we get any orders. I mean, I heard that Uber isn’t very good in Cambridge or not as good as Deliveroo. Delivery is like the main one, but they were not accepting any people, so I couldn’t join them. Look at this. Beautiful, dude. Look at that. Damn, son. All down here. And uh I’m still online. I realized I’ve been outside this lady’s house for about 5 minutes now trying to change my map settings. She’s probably like, “Is something wrong with the order? What the hell’s going on?” So, I’m just going to leave this place and I’m going to try and change my maps to Google Maps cuz Uber Maps is terrible. The sun’s coming out now and we’re going to go back online. Okay, I changed my maps. Let’s go back online and see if we can get some more orders. The goal of today is not to earn loads of money. I mean, it would be nice. Of course, I just want to test the app out, see what it’s like, see how busy it can be, and show you around Cambridge. So, let’s go back into the center and see if we can get another order. That Wendy’s was perfect. She was ready like straight away. The lady was super nice. Ryan’s going back to town to hopefully find some jobs. He’s got four pounders so far and so far he’s had no problem living. Okay, I just got another order from a KFC. There’s not I literally have barely seen any riders, anyone out here delivering food. It’s literally lunchtime in the middle of Cambridge. I’ve seen like two two riders. That’s it. Oh man, I love it when you’re on a bike and you can just take all the shortcuts. So cool. Although I technically I’m not allowed on this pavement right now, but uh nobody will know. Almost fell over. I think currently an hour and a half into the shift. We made £738. You know what? I’m I’m happy with that. I honestly didn’t even think I would get one order the entire time. And I haven’t been accepting every single order that’s come through because there’s been doubles and stuff. I just I don’t want to overwhelm myself, as silly as it sounds, with like a bunch of double orders. Something goes wrong like on my first shift cuz it’ll make me never want to do this again. So, I’m just taking it easy today. Just really getting a grip for it. Also, that dude a second ago was waiting outside the house, which is honestly super helpful cuz I don’t have to knock. I don’t have to do anything. But then again, he is watching me as I’m about to spill his drink. So, it’s kind of a good thing and a kind of an embarrassing thing from Sh. Let’s do it. Okay. I think I read a fact earlier that over 400 bikes were stolen from the train station within 2024. And that doesn’t even say like ebikes are just as normal bikes. And ebikes are normally a big target. It’s not a lot of money, but I’ve done five trips. Honestly, I didn’t even think I would get one trip and it’s only 12:30.
