Those forks are designed for either 160 or 180mm rotors. The first flat mount forks were 140/160mm. The adapters have kept the 140mm writing despite 140mm rotors going out of fashion years ago.
you have a fork designed for a 160 rotor. its better to think of flat mount adapters as +0, +20, +40. you have a +0 mount on a 160 fork. whoever labeled your adapter was working under the assumption it was for a 140 fork hence the confusion.
