🚴💨 Join us for a delightful 50-mile cycling adventure through the scenic Cheshire countryside! This easy-paced ride features local legend Ken Hodgins (80 years young!) from Stockport Clarion, and his trusty son-in-law Paul, as we explore the best of the region.
Our journey takes us on smooth scenic road sections and a few fun off-road surprises. Highlights include cycling under the rumble of jets through the Manchester Airport tunnels, spotting majestic herds of deer in the beautiful Tatton Park, and enjoying a well-deserved lunch stop in the charming village of Goostrey.
But the adventure didn’t stop there! We made an unexpected but fascinating visit to the historic Quarry Bank Mill at Styal, a stunning reminder of the industrial revolution. Plus, Paul’s received an unexpected shower courtesy of his tubeless tyre sealant! 😅
To top it all off, on our way back, we experienced the thrill of watching massive jets landing directly overhead at Manchester Airport. This ride had it all: great scenery, historical gems, wildlife encounters, and a few unexpected moments of fun. Perfect for a relaxed day out on two wheels!
