Got this sweet Quantum from my dad. He bought it second hand without any further info whatsoever. While being quite versatile in terms of modern bikes, I have zero to no knowledge of vintage bikes at at all.

Just looking for some general feedback: Is this a nice build? Is this something special or just another meh-build? Seriously curious 😉

  1. This is like stumbling into a barn and finding a perfect porsche 964 with period correct parts. The white tires are a choice but it obviously works here. Sweet get.

Oh that is gorgeous! And the C-Record crankset is the most beautiful one ever. I would love to go for a spin on that! How is the ride feel?

I love this. Original (pre-Trek) Klein with an exotic-for-the-age Campy wheelset. Will dock you 20 lira for choosing right-reading on the tires versus the rims (have Zonda on top, Campagnolo on bottom). Also while the somewhat generic stem is the right answer for riding comfort, wish it had a little more ‘art’ to it like a 3T Mutant perhaps. 9.85/10 that’s a great bike. With a flat-rise stem and the bars/hoods rotated to be a bit more flat it would look mwah mwah poifeckt.

  4. I’ve always loved Kleins, the colours were awesome. Especially liked the orange/red sunrise.

  5. Oh I love this. My first real bike was a Klein Quantum. Raced the hell out of that. I tried building it back up during COVID but the frame was twisted and I couldn’t get it working. It’s up in the garage now so I can stare longingly at it.
