I got my first full suspension for cheap! The bike itself retailed for $1,400 and by my math, everything here is around $1,750. The bike is indeed brand new and everything works great. The seller bought this bike, has a child, and was never able to use it.

Here's the breakdown: • Giant Stance 2021: $1,400 • Demon United Podium Full Face Helmet: $80 • Cyclists CT-K01 ToolKit: $80 • PRO BIKE TOOL Torque Wrench: $50 • BODYPROX Knee Pads: $15 • Seivertron Dirtpaw Gloves: $20 • CHUMXINY Brake Bleed Kit: $25 • Muc Off Essentials Kit: $43 • Muc Off Sealant: $10 • Muc Off Puncture Kit: $11

Did I do good?

Now for advice. I'm coming from a hardtail that was way too big for me. This new bike feels amazing, but do y'all have any tips for riding my first full suspension? And do you have any tips for setting up my suspension? I ran into a particular issue where while I was pumping my shock to 200psi (I'm 200lbs) for a starting point before setting sag, my pump suddenly let all of the air out while I was pumping. It won't go above 150psi. This is my shock pump: https://a.co/d/hcq0c3n

wow, what a haul. I thought this might be stolen at first glance but you did very well. does the bike fit you right?

  2. Cycle the shock every 50psi to equalize the positive and negative air chambers, cycle means push down on the shock to like 50% of its travel just use your upper body and slowly push it thru the travel. If your pump cant hold air pressure past 150psi a seal may be damaged can you inflate the shock with a different shock pump? If the same issue persists then obviously shock has some damage, likely Schrader valve damage or something worse.

Perfect beginner bike. Ride it until you get some skills then sell it for $1000 lol

Check your area for mtb riding groups and get in touch. Ask when they have a decent beginner ride you can join. Meetup worked for me. Until then, work on your leg strength and cardio. If you access to an elliptical, do high ramp, high resistance. When you go meet them go 45 minutes early and bring everything and ask someone to check out your bike before you ride. No shame being a newb. Most guys love to fidget with someone’s new ride. They’ll talk you through more than you can absorb that day. But they’ll get you going
