Hey everyone, I’m trying to remove this crank arm screw from my kid’s bike. The screw is spinning freely in both directions but won’t come out no matter how much I pull or turn it. It’s not stripped or rusted – just stuck inside and keeps turning.

Any ideas on how to get this out without damaging the crank or frame? Appreciate any tips!

  1. Use a tire lever to apply pressure between the screw head and crank while turning screw.

Threads are stripped you can put a metal shim between the head and the crank and pry it up while backing it off and re tap the hole, or my usual rage moment is to drill it out and re tap the hole.

Why are you trying to remove it? Just asking cuz you might get more helpful suggestions if we know your goal.

Those are latches for folding crankarms ( look at the “L” shaped track). Do not remove. That is a 1-pc crank. The whole thing passes through the frame.
