I was so excited to finally ride my new Bianchi, set with GP5000 (tubes, 95 PSI). They rolled very nicely until this š¢ happened on fairly clean asphalt. Still puzzled on what I hit.
Unfortunately, fast tires aren’t the most durable.

You can still see the glass shard in there. It happens. Dig it out with with a toothpick. Superglue the slice from the outside. Let it sit overnight. Boot with a patch from the inside. I think you can get some miles out of this. This is a good tire, and can last for 3000 km if this hole doesn’t split open.

Damn 95 PSI – how wide are those? Iām a heavy guy and I run my 32s at 67.

That’s rreally unfortunate but I dare say any tyre would have been deaded with that monster!

1$/km… That’s pretty steep!
Patch the inside and keep riding?
