    Id recommend getting it checked out it depends what kind of damage has been sustained I would probably recommend looking to replace it soon. Also most of those aren’t welded on they are just threaded rivets and looking at the bottom case it looks like those were too.

    Good god did you try to pry the bottle cage off with a 6 foot prybar? No shop is going to guarantee that is safe. I would be concerned about the jagged parts propagating into cracks. It’s probably not that bad structurally but Nobody’s gonna take the liability of telling you it’s not unsafe. It’s your decision to keep riding it if you choose.

    They’re usually brazed on, or silver soldered if you’re fancy. The usual fix is to enlarge the hole until you’ve ground out the cracks, then braze on a patch, drill new holes for bottle bosses into the patches, braze in bottle bosses. If the holes are small you can make up a pair of oversized bottle bosses from an hourglass style rack braze on, but the forward one definitely is too big/cracked for that
