I bought this for my litte brother a while back and I think it looks "childish" if that makes sense, what should I put on it/ swap out, hes about 5'5 or so, 12 y/o
Bring your bar angle back a little bit. They are way too far forward

I think it looks fine. Childish would be Disney characters and training wheels.

The brake cable: turn the bars to ‘unwrap’ the housing…. They wont brake efficiently with the cable twisted like that. (a hydraulic line can twist, but not cable). Bars typically are closer to match angle of the fork – or, slightly forward ….. presently they put the hands in front of front axle – bring them back an inch or 2, or 3.

to me, the ‘look’ is already cool enough — great color. New grips always freshen a bike’s feel (pedals too), and u could introduce a color scheme by changing grips and add a ‘pivotal’ seat, same color, or contrasting color.
