If it’s had regular maintenance done on it, then I would say somewhere in the ballpark of $200-300 is probably good, just make sure to look it up on Blue Book. Most people don’t do much, if any, maintenance on it, so you’ll have to factor in the cost of tubes, chain, cassette, tires, brake pads, etc. into it, as those are things you’ll eventually have to replace. Also keep in mind that many people overprice items on marketplaces, be willing to barter a price and walk away if necessary. If you barter in person you also may have better luck as well. Good luck

Seems high for that age and level of components. Also looks like aluminum frame. For that price I’d at least expect a carbon frame on a decade old bike.

  3. I got more info on the components:

Columbus E5 aluminum frame and carbon fibre fork – ZERTZ damping system on fork, seat stay and seat tube – Shimano Tiagra shifters, front derailleur and brakes – Shimano 105 rear derailleur – Sugino triple chainrings – Jalco GX460 aero wheels – Shimano PD-1056 pedals available

  4. My first inclination is that it’s worth 300USD. It does look like it’s in good shape and it has decent components. If it fits, rides and the gears change smoothly I wouldn’t cry about the extra 60 especially if it gets her on the bike quicker.

  5. I paid $400 for a Ruby Elite (carbon, all 105 components) 2 years ago. I’d say the seller is asking too much here.

Also, 5’4” is on the short side for a 51 cm frame, depending on her proportions.
