Wondering whether this used bike is worth it or if I'm better off getting a decent entry level road bike like the Giant contend AR 4 new for $1,300…
I understand they're different bikes with different specs but curious if even used specialized at this price is better.
Owner says bike has about 400km on it and has been well maintained / stored.

You can get a diverge with thru axles for that price or like the giant for a little bit more. Thru axle makes it easier to swap wheelsets if ever

But that is a fucking hilarious price for the seller to ask for that bike. Possibly the worst I’ve seen on this subreddit. Do not purchase that for any more than 300 *absolute max*.
It’s a 12 year old entry level bike. It’s not a 2018 model, it’s a 2014 meaning it was released in 2013.
Quick Google shows one sold for £167 on eBay last year.
Its 2013 model and dont pay more then $300
