Ive had one of the harder experiences beginning of may.
My plan was to cycle from Berlin to Riga to visit a friend there.
To make something clear, I didn’t cycle the entire route. Having misjudged the weather prior to setting off, my sleeping setup for 5-10 degrees was definitely not the right choice for the conditions during the frost coming with the ice holies mid May. Tried to sleep on a cemetery inside my blanket and a rescue blanket because i couldn’t find a hostel or similar was definitely an experience.
Sleep deprived and a rain front for the coming week made me get onto a flixbus from Warsaw to Riga.
Glad everything went alright and my desire for longer distance travel on bike is going strong.

You got some really beautiful photos out of the adventure though.
Iirc this is the coldest may in Poland since like 30 years. Folks at the polish stage of DH World Cup must have had a great time :’)
