You could be turning out the wrong way. If you ride right foot forward, the bike is easier to turn anti-clockwise, and if you ride left foot forward, it’s easier to turn clockwise.

That being said, there’s no right or wrong way, do what feels best to you.

Which way do you normally spin?

Fakies are like parallel parking. Once you get it, you know exactly how to fit anywhere you can. Or spin the bike with the right amount of upper body and hip to leg rotation as you need to not put a foot down. Biggest part of landing any trick is putting risk on the back burner, and prioritizing success. Even if that means a few bruised shins or a scuffed knee or elbow. Fear is the enemy of break throughs.

Lower your center of gravity by squatting down lower with your weight over the back wheel as far as you can get it. Arms straight like you’re doing a manual.

  4. Lean back and turn your head in the direction your want to turn

As you’re riding right foot forward, you’re also turning the wrong way
