  1. Soreen is the best snack.
Scotland has many great cycling areas which are easily reached from any town/city. There is so much to explore by bike for all abilities.
Gorse is the coconut smell I think.

  2. Soreen bread is the best! I will be volunteering at Kelso and spectating at Glasgow. BTW the yellow flower is known as Whin where I come from (Norn Iron).

  3. 3:18 My house is just to the left of the three hills (The Eildons) 🥳
We came over Scott’s View today on our ride.
The route means folk can watch the start, ride out and watch one of the climbs like Scott’s View or Dingleton (Melrose) and then get back to Kelso in time for the finish.

  4. Kelsae – a nice wee toon – but you should've come further west to Innerleithen and upper Tweeddale – could have done the Talla Wall climb (if you've not done that one already). Mind you seemed to have found the only road in the Borders without pot holes…..Scott's view to the Eildons is beautiful. Quite a steep climb up there though.

  5. So pretty! So would love to go to Scotland let alone ride my bike or bike pack there. Can I ask about your camera set up? Did you use one of the pole thingys that attach to the back of your bike in order to get the shot of you riding? Sorry for the tech questions—just trying to get ideas.

  6. i used to to business the an electronics company in Kelso… Keltel…manufactured some bespoke products for me nice wee place great countryside…idiot fast drivers 😀(written as a driver not cyclist) they use coconut oil in the tarmac there hence the smell 😉

  7. Loved seeing this. My mum and her family are from the Borders and I spent lots of time there growing up. My grandparents had a B&B in Hawick for years.

Did I spy Eildon Hill near Melrose? (The hill with 3 peaks?). Had a wander round there last summer. That area totally has my heart😊

  8. Go and ride the coast and castles route from Newcastle to Edinburgh. If you like the roads around Kelso you’ll love the rest of the route. The Northumberland coast is stunning.

  10. country side is always better, fresh air, colors… you see nature and real colors, this is also refreshing, i am not sure if this is some kind of therapy or not, cycling in freedom always welcome! what a good day!

  11. Sorry Katie but have to disagree with you about the roads. The minor roads in the U.K. are in a terrible condition, where I ride it is like riding on corrugated tin.

  12. Stage 1 is coming straight past my front door, and my bike workshop in Hutton-le-Hole. I'll be up on the QOM watching them come through.
