See Bikepacking Montgomery County – BIKEPACKING.com I'm thinking about it. Going stir crazy. Mainly wondering what bike would work. My gravel bike is hurting my hands (wide hoods), but I have a Salsa Marrakesh brutal touring bike that seems fine on fairly easy single track. And a Klein MTB.
Probably need to get the gravel bike sorted for it. Have had that through some decidedly brutal terrain.

Moco has some hard packed trails but this doesn’t cover them; I’m never going on these trails again without suspension (they are really nice tho) It’s also the roughest part of the C&O especially closer to DC.
Comus Road is narrow, fast, long, and with negative shoulder.
Consider a route that utilizes Rachel Carson Greenway and/or Rock Creek north of Needwood if you lack full sus or <45cm
