Scaroni the star of the early season. The manu’s results in the first couple of months really set Xanar on their way to this wonderful turnaround. An unlikely fight against relegation. They are out of the relegation zone and they continue to put points into the rest. Can Scaroni be warded or is this going to be forato riding away to the stage win? They have a minute and a half on Carapaz and then we’re looking back to the gaps. Carapaz taking the fight to the go to Del Toro but Del Toro hasn’t completely gone waiting here. Yes, it looks like he’s looking around here and waiting for his teammate here. And uh yeah, I’d not be surprised if he gives him the uh stage win because he has been, you know, so valuable to this man in the uh in the challenge for the mountain classification points. He’s done, you know, a huge job today here and he could be the one who gets the stage win. We can see Carropaz, you know, he’s 129 down, but Del Toro is rallying around a bit. He’s recovering and it’ll be interesting to see now in the final what he can pull out of the bag because he has to just give it his all here and limit the losses on the men in front of him. It’s going to be a one-two pain etched across the faces of Lorenzo Foronado and Christian Scaroni. Fortunado already a Jed Italia stage winner. And here to the line. It looks as though Scaroni will be coming with him. The way they started this season has continued into this jet. They’ve been in charge of the mountains classification. They’ve even had the Maya for a day and now they’re going to get their stage win. Italy will do it, too. 17 stages without a home victory. The joint longest drought ever. And it comes to an end. Italy has the win. Christian Scaroni takes it. And as it has done since the start of the season, teamwork making the XTS Astanar dream work. A one two. And Pedal in the meantime’s taken off. He’s left Karapaz behind and he’s going to rocket up the standings on a day where he’s had to say goodbye to his team leader Primo Rogic. Rogic out of the game. Kabaz very much into it and he’ll be counting the seconds because he might end the day in the Mayo Roza. Even if he doesn’t, he is certainly very much leading the fight for the Mayoa. Fireworks have flown at the Jod Ditalia exploding into the sky above the Alps and we’ve had a great view from up on high. The rain turned to sunshine. Pelle arrives on the big time this time with the freedom. He takes third and watch out for this man this week. It’s an Italian one two3. The home fans are delighted and everybody in Ecuador won’t quite be dancing in the streets yet, but they’ll be flying their flags because this man Richard Karapaz is leading the fight in the comeback in this juno. Derek G moving up the GC and we’ll be counting seconds to Isak Del Toro to Simon Yates and King Kelly next to me as he always does is ready to make the calculation. Eyes on Yates, eyes on Del Toro. Wow. Wow. What a final in the in this final mountain of the day. And we were always expecting to be uh a decisive one. the way the race was panning out with many teams, you know, taking as open, pushing on as we can see here. Uh, here comes Yates. Yates is coming in. Simon Yates. Here it is. It is 152 when Simon Yates crosses. So, Kapaz putting time into him. Not enough to get above Simon Yates. Is it enough to take the Maya Roza? Kapaz who finished at 109. And look at Isak Del Torto down but it doesn’t look like he’s out. He still fights for the pink just 21 years of age and the youngest go leader this century has had all the pressure placed on him as Hana Yuso abandoned the race. He’s been left behind though because here comes Bernal. There goes Kuzo and it looks as though Del Toro’s crack is a significant one. At the start of the day, it was 207 from Kapaz to Del Torto. It’s the gap between Yates and Del Toro we’re looking at. It is so close and he might just hang on. You know we wait to make that calculation but Isak del Toro today has shown the strength of fight but perhaps the weakness of legs. The jinalia is not lost for UAE Emirates but it’s certainly looking a heck of a lot more complicated than it was at the start of the day. Ausso is gone. Del Toro is down but he is not yet out. Sean, no he’s not yet out. And uh he really you know did fight big time there in the final kilometers and uh limit his losses and that’s all you can do when you see the difficulty he was in a long ways down this mountain but yeah this man first time we’ve seen him in this difficulty in this JRO but what a battle put in to limit his his loss limiting the losses so much drama we need to take a breath to try and take it

What's with the terror-flag at the finish line of all these stages? Reposting a comment"
Well done to the riders. Great finish. Great to see the Palestine flag at the finish line. 🍉
vamos Isaaaac vamos Mexico
Ayuso did not want to "demostic" for the kid, that's why they gonna loose the Giro, all due to Ayuso antics. I'll sell him immediately
Del Toro is a bull, I think he can make it all the way to Rome
I've been fighting for the pink since I was 14 years old.
The strongest man must win the Giro , Carapaz is that man
wild how after the rest day roglic is washed and Del torro ousted! must have missed their juice
Its a beautifull giro but it is clearly balanced by low standards. Pellizari the 4th guy from Bora was the fastest in the final climb after having helped Roglic like crazy so far. If Pog Remco Vingard or even Almeida was here we would clearly see the difference.
Ayuso and Roglic are out? What the heck happened?
These Palestine 🇵🇸 flags Are so obstrusive, it makes me angry. Why can’t people let the sport be the sport
Lots of drama in one stage!
Carapaz vai dar dar uma pancada no proximo estagio montanhoso que o Del Toro vai perder o caminho de casa.
As people have said – Del Toro did way too much unnecessary efforts for 1-2 seconds in unimportant stages.
What a shakeup!
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪
Where are the goddamn highlights?
I have been seeing Palestine flags over and over at the finish. Is there a Palestine cyclist participating?
Oh does Gaza have a team this year?
It's so super performance by Carapaz🎉

This Giro is all over the place and I love it 😂
Very interesting and holds breathing racing. Having a minute lead isn't guaranteed to win. Brutal upcoming stages are the decisive move. Carapaz looks very hungry for the pink jersey.
Credit must also be given to Jefferson Alveiro Cepeda of the Movistar team who came in sixth place in this mountainous stage 🚴🇪🇨
