Found this 2020 trek 920 for 700$ looks good from the pictures but I will only be riding on gravel paths and road maybe occasionally hit something more difficult but would this be overkill? Planning on doing long distance trips as well

Is a gravel bike overkill for gravel roads? Idk, that’s a tough one
If you’re planning on doing some long distance trips I think it could be a good pick. My GF has one and it’s not the speediest but it seems comfy and capable.
Not overkill. Pretty standard gravel bike
The bar-end shifters are good for traditional touring, but really not great if you are planning on doing more technical terrain in the future
