never seen it done but a few ppl do run drops on their Surly Bridge Clubs which has very similar geo, if it helps.
That’s looks almost identical to my Tangledoot Hardtack and that comes from Analog with a 0mm stem and drops which compliment the slack hta well. You can try a short stem to start and if it’s too twitchy just go longer til you’re comfortable with the steering speed
