Hey folks! Looking at this used MTB for my girlfriend (180 cm / 86 cm inseam). The goal is light trails, gravel rides, and bikepacking.

I'm a city commuter, so I’d really appreciate your MTB wisdom. Which would you go for?

  • Fork: SR Suntour XCM
  • Drivetrain: 3×8 Shimano Acera/Altus)
  • Wheels: 26", Schwalbe Rapid Rob
  • Brakes: Helix 6 hydraulic disc
  • Price: 350 €

Orbea Specs:

  • Frame: Orbea alu, 46 cm seat tube
  • Fork: SR Suntour XCM (disc, lockout)
  • Crankset: Shimano Deore Hollowtech 36T narrow-wide
  • Drivetrain: 1×9 → Shimano Deore LX shifter, XT rapid rise derailleur
  • Cassette: Shimano 11–36T
  • Brakes: Avid Elixir 5 hydraulic discs
  • Wheelset: Spectra rims + Shimano hubs
  • Handlebar: 740mm KLS, Stem: Zoom 75mm

Thanks in advance!

There is nothing inherently wrong with 26″ wheels, suntour forks, and front derailleurs, but both of these would be a pass for me.
