If you haven’t ridden in years, maybe jumping straight to SPD wasn’t the best idea? You’ll get used to it, but I don’t consider it remotely necessary. I run flats on my gravel bike but I still clip in on my road bike (with MTB style SPD, not SL). In any case, it will become habit but not worth wrecking a new carbon frame while adjusting.

Anywho, glad you had a good ride!

  2. Understandable. Also recently got into this, forgot water on like my third ride and was dying when I got home. Won’t do that again.

I went with flat pedals, just don’t need to relearn that while relearning everything else. They can come down the road.

    Great Bike btw!

Nice bike. Loosen up the tension on those pedals as much as you can. OR swap to an SPD with a platform around it so you can get going before you clip in.

Nice bird! I got the same one late last year. It was a deal then, but deals on them now are absolute steals
