Hello,
I have a bike with disc brakes and if I pull the brake lever all the way it doesn't generate enough stopping force. It looks like this is because the gap between the brake pad and the disc is too large.
I thought this would be a pretty trivial fix to close the gap by rotating the 3mm PAD IN in the clockwise direction. However, it feels stuck and doesn't cause the pad to move closer. It only causes the brake itself to activate because it's being rotated clockwise.
I've put a decent amount of force on the 3mm PAD IN to see if it's stuck. However, I'm concerned any more force and something will break so I didn't turn too hard.
I'm not sure if it's relevant but the this large brake-gap issue came up after hosing my bike down for a quick clean.
Any idea what could be wrong?

The black disk that says “3MM PAD IN” isn’t the part that you’re supposed to turn. The thing you’re looking for is INSIDE the “3MM PAD IN” hole. You stick the correctly sized Allen key (I guess probably a 3mm lol) through the T20 torx fitting to reach the piston.
You might try actually backing out the pad screw just to make sure it’s turning free. I did this on a bike where it was a part that I just don’t touch ever and was really stiff from it never moving. Once I got it moving again I could then go back to turning it in (just like you’re trying to do)
