Stock Fuji sportif 1.1 (unsure of year) comes with new wheels and tires VS. Giant contend SL 2 Disc 2017
$500 for the Fuji and $750 for the Giant. This will be my first bike. I think the Fuji might be a better deal but are they a reputable company to go with?

Are you at least 6ft tall for the Giant?
Funny enough I own a Fuji (touring) and a Giant (Defy Advanced). Both make good bikes but Gaint probably just barely edges them out in reputation. Having a second set of wheels with the Fuji is pretty awesome…c an put Road tires on one and bigger gravel tires on the other for a little light off-road. I can’t see the group sets but my guess is they’re both something like Tiagra or Sora. Both have disco brakes. Both Aluminum frame. I probably go with the Fuji for the second set of wheels and $250 savings. But the Giant seems priced high, you might be able to bring them down. Still price being equal I might go with the Fuji for the wheels.
ETA: Looks like the Fuji is a 2014. 3 years older than the Giant but I don’t think that’s a huge deal.
these bikes look like they are different sizes. do you know what size bike you should be looking at?
