an injury. Casper Asgrain win once again. Wins once again and EF Education first take win number two at the Gro Italia. That was nothing short of sensational by As. The motor behind the breakaway. He wins and he wins by a handsome margin over the chase that was powerless to do anything. Stage 15, the second longest stage of the entire 108th Gir Italia. 219 mountainous kilometers starting at Fume Venetto and heading up to a finish in the town of Aziago. A real test, a fourstar stage and a day when the GC race would surely ignite. A day for the climbers and a day for UAE team Emirates Quanuzo and the race leader Isak Del Toro to consolidate their advantage and for Primos Roglitch perhaps to make up some of the time lost on a couple of unfortunate days of racing for him. A test end of the Malia Rosa’s credentials. The young Mexican leading the race so far immaculately and not putting a foot wrong. A big day for a breakaway potentially as well. And as the flag dropped at kilometer zero, the attacks started and they did not relent for kilometer after kilometer. All the way in fact to the first intermediate sprint where Maz Pison just about held off the challenge of Jensen Plowite to pick up another 12 points in the Malia Chicklamino. Olaf Koi picking up five for third place. Then a four-man breakaway went of Patrick Conrad, Lorenzo Mazi, Matia Bais, and Michael Hburn as they hit the steep slopes of the Moro Dio. It was Nicola Konchi who went over at the top in first place for Astana, but behind him, the race had fractured. There were groups all over the place and it was Antonio Tiered who was on the back foot having to be piloted by his teammates back to the front. Marco Frigo then went through the second and final intermediate sprint of the day in first place as they hit the lower slopes of Monte Graa. A big breakaway group had formed at the Pelaton keeping them tight because the Colombian climate Rubio was in the breakaway and a threat in the general classification. UE team Emirates in control of the Pelaton. Movar driving on the group at the front of the race with Lorenzo Fortunato, the king of the mountains. And it was then that Gail Steinhauser and Lorenzo Foronato went clear as Inos Grenaders took up the pace for Aen Bernal further behind in the group of favorites at 3 minutes further down the mountain. Here we go. Benal’s big move while we were looking at that image takes the Malar Roza with him. Richard Caterpas then instantly trying to get across to the front of the race in the fog. Then at the top of the Monte Graa climb, it was Lorenzo Fortunat who went over the top in first place and took 40 points. And meanwhile, Marco Frigo swept past Fortunato to hit the long descent in first place on home roads. The Malia Roza group then trying to exert their advantage over Primosglitch who got caught out and was off the back in a group trying to get back on. The groups came together a little bit on the descent and a fresh breakaway was formed featuring Carlos Verona who hadn’t been in the first breakaway as they headed to the second climb of the day, the category 2 ascent of Doy. Carlos Verona then did not hesitate to attack a long way out 15.6 km in fact from the top of the climb. But Carlos Verona was marauding off the front holding a 30-cond lead through the Red Bull kilometer ahead of Filipo Zana and Goffi from Sudal Quickstep. It was then Richard Calipas who attacked Isak Del Toro. Del Toro straight onto the wheel of Calipaz taking a little group off the front with Aeen Benal once again and Rogich struggling and losing time. Over the top of the last categorized climb, it was Verona in the front of the race. Simon Yates attacking and Isak Del Toro right onto his wheel as Primosh now found himself in a group 40 seconds and going out further back down the road with only one professional win to his name in his long and glorious career. Carlos Ferdona a winner at the Doofina four years ago comes to Italy in triumph and takes the first big stage in the Alps. Carlos Ferona blasted away early on that final climb and was never seen again. The day after Julio Chicone had to abandon the race, upstepped Carlos Verona and took a win. Filipo Fierelli out sprinting everybody in the group of favorites finishing as one except for Primosrog who lost a great deal more time on a damaging day for his GC race stage 15. Verdona there with his family on hand making his way to the podium for the greatest win of the 32year-old’s career. A domestique year in year out riding for lead though the first win for Verona for his new team and one that he will never forget by 22 seconds ahead of Florian Stalk in second place. Isach del Toro once again fully in command and in control of the Dodo Ditalia 15 stages in Primos Robglitch dropping down to 10th place and the Malia Chiclamino the teammate of Carlos Verdona extending his lead once again in the points overall standings. An excellent day for Lorenzo Fortunata in the King of the Mountains competition. He picked up a further 40 points and has a gigantic lead over now. And of course, Isak Del Torto, another day in white with an unchanged advantage over his nearest rival and teammate, Huana Yuzo.

Roglic comeback!
UAE deja correr a del Toro, so far he has shown to be a stronger rider
Soy chapin, pero estoy feliz por el toro. Al menos tengo la maglia rosa más cerca que en Colombia. Ojalá se haga, aun falta el mortirolo
Que etapaa 🎉
Ole ole. Carlos
# The Strategy of Silence: Ayuso and the Art of Calculation
Ayuso rode today like one who calculates, not like one who fights. He watched Del Toro, leader of the general classification, neutralize every move: each attack, each shadow of an attempt was shut down with surgical precision. And he remained unmoved.
Rather than protecting his position, he seemed to bet on others' exhaustion, as if the maglia rossa of leadership were a borrowed jersey he already envisions as his own. It was an exercise in calculated coldness, perhaps refined strategy, but also a passivity that, on decisive stages, dangerously borders on competitive timidity.
In the mountains, judgment is merciless: what is not risked is judged more harshly than what is attempted and fails. Del Toro defended his position with the desperation of the possessor; Ayuso coveted it with the patience of the heir.
The question remains open: was it genuine strategy or simple inability to break the crucial moment disguised as tactical wisdom? In high mountain cycling, the line between competitive intelligence and missed opportunity is often invisible until the finish line is crossed.
Beautiful stage ..#CairoVattene
què feo resumen.
Watching intently over the first 15 stages makes me think more of Del Toro and less of Ayuso.
Lido Trek… Haaaaaa Shameless… The 2025 Intrermarche Circus team approach from a couple years ago! Hilarious.
Riccardo R knows….
Love these recaps, but my lord it’s a little heavy on the drum breaks!
🎭🎭🎭 Tuesday, Primoz drops to 14th …😢😮🎭
Rogla is cooked
Roglic is done sadly .. great rider in years past but he has a habit of not placing himself well in the peloton. Too vulnerable to crashes .. and so it goes.
Lovely victory 🎉❤🎉 bravo Carlos, suuuuuper wow, what a win, each race we go crazy happy yeah, the joy of life ❤🎉❤ bravo riders bravo
Lovely landscapes, I hope everybody understands how cycling is the best welfare strategy, enjoying such locations, great emotions indeed. Be careful riders, this last week will be the most difficult and most spectacular, fans love you guys, never stop believe in. Carlos crushed it, impressionante
Rozgic hết thời rồi
That stage on gravel was well excellent it reminded me of the time in the 1920s 30s 40s and 50s when a lot of roads were not paved yet they rode on this type of roads. I personally would like to see two stages flat and mountains with no support meeting, the writers have to fix their own flats, no radio communication no food support one or two just like this and let’s see who is the better writer in these stages?
nice stage victory for del Toro❤🎉🎉🎉
