Set up for the jump. Squat your suspension a little bit in the belly of the transition before the lip. Use it boost off the lip and keep the bike level. Grabbing the rear brake will also drop the rear end, but this jump isn’t big enough to warrant that. Just set up better.

Pump ur fork before u hit the jump should help and get a good body position

  3. My take on this and skills in general: Most people will try to “force” on you their way of though, what makes sense in their mid without considering much how things make sense to you. In my opinion learning is half trial and error, half receiving as much info as possible. Go on YouTube and watch a lot of how to jump videos. For me these two helped a lot, [The loam ranger’s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s9w2zSvuaGM&ab_channel=TheLoamRanger) and [Joy of bike’s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UtxXnHJMjTM) videos. If you take away one thing from this, none’s opinion is fact or gospel, NEVER. Also remember most people will be happy to help you, not only online but in person too.

I got a really good advice from someone that rly helped.

U always want to dictate the bike with ur whole body going in a 90“ angle to the flatground. Ur body is the heaviest thing in the equation so having that going in the right direction and not too far forward or to the rear is the basic thing to do.
For drops and kicks ull have to adjust obviously but starting with this in mind rly helped.

Best way is to never ride bikes and never go outside. Second best way is to go outside, ride bikes and practice a lot. Your friend doesn’t preload the bike before the compression and gets bucked. The basics for anything jump related comes from bunny hops, you can practice those anywhere. Riding pumptrack also really helps to learn when and how to compress or preload your bike.

  6. Small steep kickers will kick the nose down every time. There is no being easy off the lip , you have to ride the bike off, not let the bike ride you
