what up. just making this post to ask about freecoasters, i’ve got two bmxs at the moment, and im thinking of selling them both to buy this wtp battleship, very beautiful bike. but the thing is, i’ve only ever ridden cassette, and this bike has a wtp helix freecoaster, im just wondering.. is it worth the hassle of switching out the hubs to a cassette? i’ve tried a buddies bike w a freecoaster and i hated it.. but im not sure if that means i’ll always hate it or just needs getting used to. is there any benefit to having a freecoaster other than being able to fakie slightly easier?? are cassettes worse? has anyone switched from cassette to freecoaster? thanks for any help.

its preferences, one isnt better than the other. if you do this maybe see if someone just wants to trade the wheel for wheel? thats the only thing i could think of. try it for few weeks maybe it’ll grow onto you.

  2. Look, it’s up to you but it’s very difficult to ride a freecoster at first, in this case I ride a k7 but on the track there are 2 guys who have bikes with the freecoster I tried to ride and it’s very complicated it seems like the fakie isn’t going straight, you fall to the side and also keep hitting your knee on the table

But it’s definitely a benefit to roll silent from spot to spot at night!😉
