You can cycle from Hackney in north east London to Holborn in central London entirely on quiet streets and protected cycle lanes.
The route is 6.9km long (4.3 miles) and makes use of Cycleway 27, the London Fields LTN and the St Peters LTN.

Enjoyed this …I know some of the route quite well
100% correct about Amwell street especially when turning right where you did
I used to walk down the final part of that route quite a bit a few years ago and the cycle ways etc has made a significant difference to the environment. Thanks for the great video.
Lovely route
Great video as usual!
Can't really improve on that. The key bit of infrastructure for routes into town is the crossing at City Road – while you do have press a button the lights do change fairly quickly.
dreaming of the "London cycle routes/Jago Hazzard" co-op mashup
The hills north from london fields kill me
Yeah, I had my only two serious road altercations while riding on Amwell Street where the drivers wanted to get out their van and fight me. I still use it though as it's a nifty way to get to Russell Square and it's pretty too.

I love your videos. I don't live in London, but close (Strood, Kent) and my daughter lives in Kennington. Can i ask what parameters you input to Komoot for these routes?
I have done the route with the exception of the section from the town hall along Hackney Grove to London Fields. I did did the rest as in the video from London Fields to Holborn. I enjoy cycling the area. Nice video as always.
2:01 first time I've seen a speed monitoring display (is there a technical term?) for cyclists!
Hi, long time subscriber of this channel but a suggestion … Can you overlay a map corresponding to your position
This would be hugely beneficial for others to follow and/or make modifications to the route
Thanks
i was trying to figure out what C27 was, then you mentioned it used to be Q2 and it snapped into place. I travel along much of this route often, without knowing it's name- Mainly after it joins up with C6 around Mount Pleasant. Lovely super quiet backroads.
Most of this has been my main commute for 20 years. Its a wonderful way to get into central London. The road surfaces are the thing that could do with most improvement.
@9:45 The guy made a great recovery, especially considering how inherently unstable hire bikes (especially Lime) are. My sixth-sense was tingling even before that happened. Things were going just a tad too fast for my liking. My alert started @9:38 where already two cyclists had zoomed onto your course of travel, and a third had to brake at the last second when he saw you. Sooner or later, those streams of events go bad.
Other than that, once again, great cycling with you. I'm continually amazed at seeing a London in transition, much for the better, even if the economy is hurting generally.
Lewisham to Battersea would be interesting.
On your point on Guildford Place: its now getting more important on equivalent streets everywhere, sadly because of the rise of massive SUVs and (even more sadly) US-style pickup trucks. The space for cyclists when passing these huge vehicles is far smaller and often scary. Paticularly as certain drivers of these seem never to want to slow down.
