So the guy giving this bike away insisted it was a POS and everything was busted up and so on, was in pieces when I got it, Literally just put it back together and changed the rear tire, oh and put air in the shocks and tires, and BAM, it rides great.

People (in general) are idiots. Hate this attitude, but it’s been well-reinforced over a lifetime of mechanical amazement. Maybe people aren’t idiots, they just have no “give it a try” or “everything is worth at least attempting” perspective… this guy didn’t even want to try basic maintenance on his FSR? Your gain! Nice.
