I have a Nitto M18 front rack that holds a basket. I just bought an Ortlieb Quick Rack Light but have yet to ride with it. I bought it because I wanted to be able to remove it easily when I don’t need it and also use it with my hard tail. In the past I’ve used Axiom racks which I’ve been satisfied with. I found the [rear rack guide](https://bikepacking.com/index/rear-bike-racks-bikepacking/) on bikepacking.com useful.

Ortlieb quick rack. I like that I can take it off and on as needed. It’s super easy to use once you get it installed the first time. It’s fairly light. On the front I use the tumbleweed T rack. It can be used on the back as well and it’s really versatile because of three pointing points on the stays.

Not sure if you are talking about front or rear. Are you adding panniers? Cages? A basket?
Doesn’t matter.
Old Man Mountain Elkhorn. Maybe add the axle adapter. Maybe add the fit kit for your fork.
That’s about as universally useful a rack as anything out there. I run one on the front and a Tailfin system on the back. The Tailfin is great, but spendy.

Also using an Ortlieb quick rack light. It’s a pretty great rack if you’re just trying to run panniers. Pretty slick and low profile. If you’d like to run a basket or strap things on top the regular quick rack is great, too. I’m gonna be using their gravel panniers along with the 4L QR seat pack this season.
