Just picked these tires up and mounted them. They actually started peeling like this before even mounting the tire. I had washed them with some soap to remove all the excess sealant. I had some issues getting them mounted. Have road them about 25 miles now and it keeps getting worse. They are like slicks now.

I wouldn’t. Maybe you should ask the seller what to do.
I would never have even mounted them personally, but I guess everyone has different risk tolerances🤷♂️
Yikes, I wouldn’t ride those for any number of reason but first on the list is replacing tires is cheaper than replacing wheels
Thanks guys! Going to see what the manufacturer can do.
Try reaching out to vittoria. Something seems terribly wrong. Tire defects are rare but you never know. Phrase it like, “can you give me the OK to ride these? Or is something wrong?”
Perhaps they were aged in storage before you bought them. I could lead to a sudden blowout and loss of control if on a bend.
some more delicate tires are extra sensitive to ammonia and cannot be used with latex based sealants, [vittoria advices only using ammonia-free non-latex based sealants in cotton casing tires](https://int.vittoria.com/pages/technical-faq-tire-accessories)
Is this mounted inside out? It doesn’t look like the outside of the tire at all…
It’s a shitty tire. They ride great until they fall apart, and that happens very quickly. Went through about 5 of them and will never buy them again. I ran them with tubes, so no compatibility problems with sealant involved. The tread started splitting/delaminating within weeks of installation.
