Hi everyone – appreciate any help here. I currently ride a 56cm Trek Domane that just feels big, and I feel like the seatpost doesnt come out enough, which is probably due to my small inseam relative to my height. I am 178cm tall with an 80cm inseam. Should I go for the S or M here given I am right on the edge…. will a small look like a kids bike with me on it?? TIA

Fairly certain the M would be too big for you tbh – especially standover height might be a challenge with your inseam.
S seems like the “safest” bet – both because of sizing, canyons’ recommendations being pretty spot on, and because its generally recommended to go down in canyon sizes if you are somewhat in between.
I don’t think that you can get the seatpost in short enough with M but you can verify with the canyon chat.
The Ultimate in size M is roughly a 55.5. Get the S. The size difference is visually indistinguishable.
You’re not even in the purple on the x axis and still in the blue on the Y. Generally people size down on canyons… this is an easy decision for me size S. You can return the bike within 30 days if you feel like you made a mistake
We have a nearly identical height and inseam and the small fits me perfectly!
My measurements are 176/82, i ended up buying M size Endurace.
I wasn’t sure about the size, so I went to bike fitting service to do size recommendation , and at the end I they recommended M size for the Endurace ( and some other brands and models ..)
And I think size S would have been small for me.

Hey mate, I’m the same size (178cm) and have just bought the S with a 130mm stem.
I’m very happy and could totally do with the 120mm stem as well.
I came off a 56cm with a 130mm stem for context
I’m 1,78m and 83cm inseam and I chosed S size
We have the exact same height and inseam. I went with an S size Grizl and it feels perfect. 🙂
Get the S. I’m 1.76 with 84cm inseam and ride S just fine.
