  1. My thinking is if it’s got good spec drive Train, brakes and shifters yes. Not familiar win specialized much.

250-300 seems good. But I could be wrong.

    What’s the drivetrtrain?

From my perspective, 300 bucks for a good name road bike, with decent wheels and at least a decent groupset is never a bad deal. You’d pay 400 for a box store brand and get a wayyy shittier bike

Yeah. Price is really good. Dunno if the frame is carbon or alloy, but for that price any of those is still a decent option. When you’re new to cycling, starting is better than having “the best possible bike”, specially since you’re going to learn a lot. And that means many things. Not expecting much of the groupset but honestly those are things that you can upgrade as you go and if you’re in good shape unless you’re competing you should be fine.
If you can bargain it to 200 or 250 that’s a pretty exceptional starter, specially since it’s an endurance bike so the geometry won’t be that aggressive.

  4. Ok reminds me of the Trek 7.3/7.5fx

Yea personally I’d be in around 250/275 Sora isn’t the best but being a newer bike should still work great.

Hope the bike is also your size!

  5. You want to inspect the braking surfaces on the rims, see how deep the grooves are worn into the rims. To deep, means rims are toast, rims risk buckling, so you’ll then have to change wheel rims or wheel set, a hidden expense.
