I’m fairly mechanical and work on my own bikes and considering buying a used 2021? C line. I know how check a chain, casette chain rings, brake pads, wheels etc for wear and tear but what do I specifically need to look for on a brompton? Check the hinges? What else? Any known issues with these bikes I should check for?

I test rode a g line and a c line in my c recently. I definitely preferred the g line feel- felt more like a full size bike but the c line I think would get the job done for me especially considering the price of a new g line…

Looking for a bike to bring on a plane with me when traveling for short trips when I don’t want to pack my full size bike and something to keep in the car for last mile trips from the train, parking etc.

I’m in the U.S. in the southeast there are not a lot of used options here. What would you pay for a 2021 C line? Specifically the one pictured here?

For a Brompton hinges and rust spots is what I’d be looking for as to prices I can’t say as I’m not in America.

  2. I bought a used Brompton, same year, model, # gears, even the same color for $1480 on Brompton’s website under the refurbished section last November. From the pics it looks good, I’d probably make sure if shifts and collapses well and if the price is reasonable snag it. I bought a travel case for air travel and it’s been an awesome experience

This is new bike on photos, if you get good price cos its “used” go for it. Clean chain not even dusted, and rim cant be cleaner.
