The value for the aeroad is insane on paper. It's over a thousand cheaper than the similarly specced Madone AND it comes with a power meter.
I heard that Trek is much better about customer service and warranty concerns, and maybe that's worth the extra price, but are there any features I might be missing to make it worth it over the aeroad besides that?

Good question, why Trek? Why Canyon? I’d buy a Giant Propel over both of these. Canyon has suspect customer service and parts availability and the Madone is ugly. I’ve lived in 4 countries, on four continents and there’s been a Giant dealer in each one . . . including a small town in Africa.
Whatever you do, do not get a Canyon
If you buy the Trek it would be for their dealer network and service.
