I've been looking around for a synapse and found this listing on fb. She claims it has less than 5 road miles and has been sitting in storage the last 13 years. Is there a deal to be made here? It seems like she probably just wants it gone and has already marked the listing down $200. Any ideas what it is actually worth?

There’s a decent starter bike to be had here, but the asking price is high.
If its 11s shifting, I’d put that in the $8-900 range. Worse and I could see like $350-450
It really isn’t about mileage, it’s about technology having left that model behind a long time ago – and frankly that being a mid-low range bike when it was brand new
Sitting in storage unridden doesn’t mean all the rubber and plastic bits haven’t perished and the grease hasn’t dried up. Still need to plan on a good service for it. Shimano 105 10 speed gears from that time have trickled down to equivalent with new Tiagra. New endurance bikes now use 30 or even 32c tires, this will fit a max of 28. Still a very nice bike but I’d be thinking more like 800.
