hello everyone!
I wasn’t able to find a concrete (haha) answer on this, but does anyone have a general bike type recommendation for a terrain like the pictures I’ve attached? I’ve been wanting to enjoy the sunshine & life more, so I was wondering if it was a possibility to cruise on a beach that’s a little rocky/gravelly. if not, thank you for reading this post anyways! 🙂

Fat bike with low pressure would be my guess. That’s a tough surface to ride on.

  2. Wider tires with lower pressure are the way to go on soft ground like this.

Fat bike, or at least a + size tire, and you can just cruise around.

  3. Wider tires are the only way you’ll be stable on this surface. Whatever other criteria you have should be lower on the list of priorities than tire width.

I agree with others, fat bike probably the way to go. Side note, I’ve had some rough experiences with barnacles slicing up my feet/thinner sandals on similar beaches and would be a little apprehensive about the possibility of getting flats from scraping a barnacle covered rock the wrong way. Beautiful location and best of luck!

The only correct answer is “don’t”.

A fatbike is the best solution, but it still sucks

  6. Very wide tyres with low(very low, around 1 bar or less depending on weight) air pressure
