On 29th March 2025 my dad and I set out from our home in the UK to cycle around the world, something never been done by a father and son.

Over the next year we are aiming to pedal 30,000km through 30+ countries and break 2x official Guinness World Records while also raising money for UNICEF to help children around the world.

I am going to be uploading a new video every few weeks which will tell the story of our adventure from the highs to the lows and everything in between.

Episode 1 is leaving home and the first week of the trip. I hope you enjoy!

my dad and I are about to take on the biggest challenge of our lives 3 years ago we cycled across the USA together and one year ago we decided we wanted to do something bigger something never been done by a father and son before and probably for good reason to cycle around the world that was brutal everything is going to be tested over the coming months from our bodies to our relationship but we know it’s going to be an incredible adventure 2 and a halfks uphill bring it on [Music] we’ve spent the past 12 months planning and now we are ready to leave our home in the UK and pedal east with the aim of returning in a year’s time after going the whole way around the planet [Music] uh I might put this take this with me as well as like a jumper jumper so this is it it’s the 29th of March 2025 and today Dad and I are leaving our home here in the UK to cycle around the world we’re leaving in about an hour’s time we’re just prepping the bikes the final checks and then we’re going to head down to the ferry to head across to Holland overnight and start the Europe leg of this adventure shall we yeah that’ll do [Music] that’s just Josh yeah well you you should have seen us yesterday it’s been a bit uh long there we go we got people coming in have a little production have you got lots of people you expect come this morning no I I just put it out on the a closed Facebook group for the village so there I know there was a few people coming [Music] just paddle i’ll try my best you okay Eva great yeah last few month weeks it’s been intense and it’s here so what have I got to do open the doors [Music] you’re like I have to stand on the tiptoes [Music] too hey we’re so proud of you we are so proud of both of you guys baby everyone fella no seriously let’s do it woo let’s do this [Music] you good yeah ready yep let’s go [Music] what was Thank you very much yeah thank [Music] [Applause] [Music] you ready yeah [Music] [Music] [Music] dear Joshua unfortunately our booking system allowed bookings from the 29th 9th which is today but we only start from the 1st we’re very sorry for the mistake and we’ll refund you the money this has confirmed the cancellation of the booking well that’s not very good it’s a 60 mi detour but I don’t think we’ll make it cuz check-ins at 8 what’s the name of the ferry company it’s a Felix Low Ferry isn’t it so basically the ferry is cancelled and it’s not running for another 2 days yeah and we’re meant to be on a ferry from where that other ferry gets to tonight no we’re not going to make it it’s 3 hours and No no no no no no no that’s fine yeah cuz we’re not we’re not going for 4:30 anymore we need to be in Harage at 8 and this it takes 3 hours from here so we got a bit more cycling to do it’s only 60ks joshua joshua focus on the positive remember [Music] [Music] [Music] Oh is it we’re only 8Ks that’s good though lot of hills really we had noticed them yeah i’m so glad that ferry was canled just what we needed on day one i love cycling in the dark love cycling in the dark we were commenting that your your lights do stand out as well well at least it’s not raining always always look on the bright side of life i need a we Oh god what kind of day does he [Music] 130 km that was not meant to be how long day one was just us in the world eh can’t believe we’re the first ones to do this out of 8 billion people how cool is that we have made it onto the ferry just locking the bikes up making sure they don’t walk around on the ferry crossing then we’re going to go up to the cabin and get a good night’s sleep cuz it’s thoroughly deserved ooh at home for the first night home from home lovely first night down did not sleep very well at all i think I got about 4 hours sleep which isn’t great my watch told me that I need a rest today whereas we’ve got 100 km to cycle but we’re now in the Netherlands so it should be flat [Music] how you feeling Joshua good tailwind and flat just what we want for day two the best snack harry Potter [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] hey Josh how you doing on earth day three we’re good cycling towards the German border about 100ks out but it’s already feeling so Germanic [Music] and yes there’s a banana in my pocket in Germany [Music] now just heading towards Cologne on a nice long embangment wind’s not exactly in our favor we’ve arrived in Cologne it’s pretty impressive cathedral [Music] okay we made it to Bon just in time for the blooming of their cherry blossom they’ve got this whole street which is just cherry blossom trees and it’s really pretty it’s just all pink heading out of Bon along the Rine absolutely stunning nice sunny [Music] day i think the uh the realization of what we’re undertaking has started to hit me i guess the first few days was all excitement um about this journey ahead of us and then the last two days has kind of sunk in what we’re doing and adjusting to this new routine has been pretty challenging yeah we did America we did 3 months together back then so I know we’ll be able to do it now it’s just it’s just hard at the moment and it’s it’s taking its toll on me you know i’m definitely feeling it but we just got to keep keep pedaling keep moving on and yeah it’ll it’ll all be worth it in the end um and I’m still super excited for what’s to [Music] come we always knew the first two weeks were going to be a challenge uh but it is hard just settling into this new lifestyle finding a routine these are the first big hills of the trip and my lack of training over the past few months is really starting to show i’m struggling up these [Music] hills stop breathing just we have just cycled into the town of worms we were aiming for a campsite tonight and asked if there any spaces left and they said no uh so we’re in the hotel tonight i can’t complain we’ve got a really big day today 150 km almost [Music] [Music] inside we’re about to hit 100,000 followers on Instagram there we go woo lovely morning start we’re 25ks in already got a long day ahead and just cruising down this lovely straight path through the [Applause] woods that was brutal it’s still not in it that was probably one of the most brutal climbs I’ve ever done on a bike we’ve cycled into Stoutgart it’s about 5:00 p.m and we’ve still got 30ks to go so no stopping [Music] here after our longest day on the bikes so far uh we’ve arrived at this epic bike co-working shop but today was exhausting we did nearly 1,300 m of climbing [Music] 150k good morning just had a night’s sleep in the Chiovita store wasn’t the best night’s sleep but I will give you that i’m pretty exhausted my hay fever is causing my eyes to all um like gab overnight so I’m waking up with horrible eyes which is actually quite painful and not [Music] pleasant bye-bye well we don’t need fuel for transport but we do need fuel to cook so we held it to Excuse me the worst thing about cycling is having to push when you’re going downhill because of the headwind and that’s what we’ve got today and it is awful you work so hard to get to the top of a hill expecting a nice rewarding downhill instead you have to struggle to go back down because the headwind is so strong ah it’s not [Music] fun we have finally arrived at the campsite it was meant to be pretty straightforward day but it was anything but going to set up the tent for the first time of the trip it’s been a bit longer than expected for our first night camping but yeah let’s get the tent up [Music] what we got for dinner tonight Dad we have the most marvelous pasta with tomato and chicken bacon sauce [Music] do you want a chalky bar for pudding what are you doing doing the tent up right what you What are you doing good night we’ll see you for day 10 [Music] tomorrow and that’s what’s left in order everything’s frozen it’s day 10 on the road today and heading towards the [Music] Alps into Literback after another cheeky hill climb plenty more of them to come here he is grizzing it up the hill with a big grin still smiling just about only 11% deep joy [Music] alps are just in front of us we’re about to approach the foothills oh it’s been a long day trying to push our bikes up this to end it and oh it’s not what you want but needs to be done we have arrived at our place we’re staying for the night staying in this cute little thing because it was €15 more than camping and it’s meant to get below freezing again tonight so we thought we’d spend the extra €15 and have a comfortable night we can also charge our gear it is our final morning here in Germany today we’re heading up into the Alps and into Winsbrook for a well needed day off tomorrow still pretty early it’s like 7:30 in the morning about 100 km to do so quite a bit of climbing [Music] [Music] we’re just leaving the town of Gish now to start the big climb i think we got to go about 500 m to the pass that’ll take us into Austria and then down into [Music] Winsbrook 2 and 1 halfks uphill bring it [Music] on we have arrived in country number four there was no sign again just like when we came to Jolie but we are now in Austria we have just made it into our Airbnb that was staying in Insburgh for the next two nights and that was probably one of the worst downhills I’ve ever done on a bike it was just so steep um I think at times there was signs saying it was 16% and it was on a super main busy road so I couldn’t film a thing we could barely stop we were on the brakes the whole way down and after climbing pretty much the last 2 days straight to be rewarded with that is pretty disappointing but it’s just part of it so we’re now going to get some rest here in Innsbruck and then we’ll carry on in 2 days time

  1. Wow, your trip video is wonderful. Your editing skills are magnificent. I so enjoyed your trip videos across the USA 3 years ago. Now, I am finding your around the world trip absolutely amazing. Please be safe on this long journey adventure. Greetings from San Diego, California. ~ Dave

  2. Excellent! I've been enjoying your content on Instagram – you are a really talented storyteller, but this, paired with incredibly beautiful footage of the landscapes you pass, is even better. Best of luck to you both. Safe travels.

  7. It's tough following your journey, feeling every bump, head wind and hill climb, every struggle & set back but you stay so cheerful and strong with a good sense of humour & determination. Well done to you both, good luck, really enjoying following you

  8. That was amazing! I didn’t want it to end! Wonderful video work and editing! ❤. Enjoying all your Instagram content too but really great to see the beginning of your travel and all the reality of it. Got to say again, love your dad’s smile ! ❤.

But you have found a unique way of finding together 🥰👍 I love how you let the pictures speak for themselves and the quiet way you tell your fabulous story, without artificial „drama“. Looking forward to seeing how your journey continues 😊 good luck and best wishes from Southern Bavaria 🍀

  12. Have been following you both on Insta and really enjoying your clips but seeing it on here gives it a different level of appreciation for what you’re doing. Really enjoyed it. Will look forward to the next one (have you had help doing it? It’s very well done)

  13. Have u got a website;would like to know more;itinery;timings;visas;general logistics;will be following your epic trip Bon voyage🚲🚲

  14. Looking forward to following along as you explore the world. And to hearing about what equipment you've brought, and how it works out.

  15. People who tend to have a 'spoiled Rotten attitude' in LIFE; I often recommend them doing a bike Tour. Bike Touring is parallel to everyone who goes through in LIFE; EVERYONE has their ups and downs. The goal is to find solutions, resolve, and then carry on. What is a treasure to me about Bike Touring are the wide open spaces and natural landscapes that God created for humanity to have a little enjoyment and escape to serenity may it even be for a short time. LIFE can be stressful and trying at times.
I agree: "Going Nowhere feeling being in a strong headwind".

  16. What an epic thing to do as father and son, good luck guys👍New subscriber here, looking forward to watching your epic adventure unfold😊
