Shower at work, doesn’t need to worry about his hair falling out from pulling his hair back into a bun when it’s wet, barely any skin products are being used from what I can tell, one bottle of product being used on his entire body probably, can keep/wash his towel at work. He’s going to bed around 6pm to get 8 hours of sleep (omg, relax, I know some people need less, but that seems unlikely with someone biking 125 miles daily), not seeing his family very much or attending school sports seems strange

This is an impressive feat, however can really only be done in a job like this where they have long stretches off between work. Doesn’t take anything away from his impressive work. Also think this is 120 miles round trip? Because his Strava showed 90 miles complete.

I LOVE bike commuting, but the city is hostile toward cyclists. Every year for the past few years, there are more cyclists being killed by reckless drivers. We have showers, lockers and bike parking at work, but it’s terrifying………..I just read too much I guess, and should simply take my chances.

Hate to be that guy, but his Strava tells a different story. He averages 200 miles a week, which is impressive but clearly not the same as 125 miles a day. He takes the 75-mile route to work roughly once a week, and he never rides home the same day (I don’t know if he’s staying at the station or taking some other route home.)

I’d be leaving at 2am too if I was riding in Phoenix in the summer. I’m more impressed with the ride home which is presumably during a much hotter time of the day but wasn’t specified.
I don’t object to the idea, but if you spend 8 hours at work, 8 hours on a bike, plus sleep… when are you prepping meals? Washing clothes? No kids? No other hobbies or socializing outside of work? These are the reasons I could never spend that much time commuting. I’m glad he can make it work.

I hear that Lael does 175 mile commutes everyday.
