New to mountain biking, but seasoned road biker. 41M and looking at getting a used 2024 Canyon Neuron 5 29er in aluminum with a Fox factory 34 grip and fork upgrade.
Primary question: Went to check it out today, looks to be in good condition. Seller wants $1600 for it, is this a good price?
Secondary question: Is this good bike for a beginner like myself?

You can get a brand new one from Canyon right now for only $300 more. I wonder why the person is selling it.
As to whether it’s a good first bike – yes, it will be very nice and well help you grow your skills.
That seems to be an amazing bike to start with not to high serious like piggyback shock and not to bad price! I think this bike will determine if you like this sport or not.
Don’t listen to anyone who says you shouldn’t buy a full suspension and start with a hardtail. If you have the budget for a full suspension then buy it!
