This hub came off my 2015 Trek Fuel EX5. The rear wheel wasn’t rolling freely, so I thought that taking it apart and cleaning it might help. However, I noticed that a part of the freehub appears to be broken. I’m here to ask if this is normal or if I should get it replaced. Thanks everyone!

That finger tho 🗿
That bolt has nothing to do with how it functions, it just connects the freehub to the hub body.
The freehub is a sealed unit (if its anything like the Shimano ones I’ve taken apart). I it’s not spinning smoothly then replace that part. You can’t “get in there to clean it up”
