Jeez Canyon is such a pain in the ass sometimes! Why is it that the Turbo Vado SL 5.0 can come with a proper back pannier rack included but Canyon makes it a bloody nightmare to even imagine putting a 3rd-party one on the Roadlight:ON 5? The Roadlight is barely half the price of the Specialized bike, yet has a bigger battery you can take out to charge, higher torque, and yet, and yet: A plague on all of you who might like to use it to go cycle touring with a lighter e-bike! You are of no interest to Canyon! Seems insane to me.

lol this is one of the most nonsensical rants I’ve read in a while.
these back pannier racks make the bike look pretty bad, so i support canyon on this. not to mention e-bikes are a borderline scam anyways to lure the feeble minds into the fomo. just get a normal bicycle
I was looking at the same bike, but I always conclude that an e-road bike is better for my commute than a hybrid so I await its release with the new motor. The will also soon release a rear rack and paneer for their electric hardtail. I suspect this might fit some more bikes.
Edit: But I’m totally with you on this. Why does the roadlight on have mounts and the e-bike doesn’t? Probably just trying to justify and the roadlite and the fact all these lightweight models all use the same basic frame.
I have been trying to get a rear pannier rack for the Grizl and it was a nightmare until I found the old man mountain rack with a thru axel mount and can be mounted to carbon!
