[Laughter] Hello, I’m Alex from Mulco and this morning I flew from Mayora to this. I am actually in Switzerland with Canyon. We’re doing a shoot for the next two days. We are going to talk about the new features of the brand new Canyon Ultimate CFR which is pretty exciting. So today with the crew, we’re doing a little bit of a Ricky. We’re scooting the area to see what we’re going to shoot, what we’re going to do tomorrow, where we’re going to be. And it’s just stunning. I literally went from 20° Mayor York to a winter wonderland. We literally have all the gimbal and everything attached to the back of the car and they’re controlling everything from the inside. I actually had never seen that before. It’s really nice to see how it’s done. How do you feel? From here to Mayora. Oh, it’s a temperature shop. What are you? It’s beautiful though. It’s like never been here before. Did you go to the pier and then sometimes like skiing and stuff on the No, we we thought about going this year, but at the end no ski persons beach persons. Yeah. But now I’m kind of missing now. When you see this, you feel like you like to be like I feel like I want to go back to skiing. Skiing or cycling? Skiing. Yeah. Snowy peaks are here. It’s end of April, so I guess it makes sense that it’s still snowing. We might be a bit on the descent tomorrow, but you know, there’s always the van. [Music] Oh yeah. Okay, so today is shoot day. We here in Davos. We woke up like not too early and set put the bikes in the van, got our kit and everything. And we are now setting up the cameras and we’re going to start shooting. So, in a minute, I’m going to get Paul to talk you through the updates of the new ultimate and the reason why we’re doing this shoot because it’s actually quite exciting. I’m going to show you the bikes as well. It was supposed to rain, but the weather’s really good, so fingers crossed. It’s 12° currently. When we get to tops, probably going to go down to four, but we will manage. Is very beautiful. It’s actually super cool to be in the mountain again. So, let’s get ready. [Music] [Music] Hello Rapunzel. [Music] [Music] I’m coming. Yeah. [Music] [Laughter] So, you had a lot of fun riding it. It was so hard. I’m just laying enjoying. It’s just a bike rack. It’s just a bike rack. Just a bike rack. Okay. So, the guys are resetting. So, I’m going to use Paul here to talk us through the upgrades to that ultimate. Uh, what’s new? What? Well, firstly, killer setting. Look at this. Game of Thrones eat your heart out. It’s like a dragon’s going to come out the lake. It’s amazing. Does it make you feel like you want to go ice ring? Makes me feel like a frost king. What is that his name? Frost King. Oh, I forgot. He’s too long. That series. Yeah, series 8 was crap. Anyway, so we’re here filming the refresh to the ultimate series. Um, I would say the main features are actually around usability. So, there’s some much improved changes to the cockpit up front. Um, they’re basically using the same cockpit setup as you’ve seen already on the Aero. Firstly, you’ve got this pace bar system, which means you’ve got a lot of flexibility to change the bar ends out. So, you have the option of 370, 395, or I believe 420 in terms of width, which is really cool. It’s super easy to adjust. You’ve got these two bolts underneath just like you had on the previous version. You release them. You got a torque wrench in the pack that comes with the bike so that you can adjust these 6 Newton meter rated. And then you can adjust your bars in and out. This is Alex’s bike and I’ve actually set this to the smaller of the three options. I’m running the middle and I guess taller riders would want to ride with their shoulders slightly further apart. You can change to the flared arrow um dropouts. which are really comfortable. I’ve fit them to my AROD and they feel great. The gear groove system, just like with the Grail that it was first launched on and with the Arode. Now you with the Ultimate, you can ride it in a time trial setup or in a triathlon setup. So this clamping mechanism now makes it dead easy if you want to move your saddle forward and off just releasing on the side with the T-25 bolt. If you want to move the angle, it’s a lot easier now. So, you’ve got a bolt underneath. You just release that and you can literally just tilt the saddle angle, make minor changes, and you can even use your little tire lever or little I don’t know what this what is this called? I don’t know. But you you’ve used that earlier to uh adjust my saddle height because the torque wrench was in the car and that was pretty cool. Super cool. So, if you’re riding around and I don’t know, you’ve forgotten your multi tool or you don’t have a T-25. Again, like the AROD, they’ve changed all of the major bolts on this bike, the T-25. And on the top of your through axle release, let’s call it, um, you’ve got a T-25 mount. So, if you are looking to change your saddle height, you can use a T-25 just there. If you want to release your gear system, if you want to move your S your handlebars in and out, everything can be done using this handy little tool. A little bit more just a little bit. Is it snowing? Very gently. [Music] We go riding, babe. [Music] So, the weather finally cleared out and we managed to squeeze in that descent. Oh my god. But take a look at this. We’ve got special cleaning. Gracias. It was sick. We’re a bit splattered, but yeah, definitely need to come back here in the summer. Oh, yeah. And do the whole climb. Well, we’ve got double cleaning services. One side, other side. We clean this side, too. Down. Basically, now we can see all of it. from. Yeah. Half a wheel. Yeah, [Music] [Music] perfect. Heat. Heat. party. [Music] [Music] I hope you enjoyed that kind of behind thescenes type video. Both Paul and I have been really enjoying riding the Ultimate over the years. So, it’s pretty cool to see that updated version of the bike. It literally combines all of the best bits of the previous version and it adds more adjustability on the bike with the latest scion technology. We’re actually so excited to update our fleet in London at Mono Riverside with that brand new version of the bike. So, you actually can book a taste right and come and ride too. This is our time to wrap up this video. Thank you so much for watching. Remember to subscribe to the channel not to miss the next one and see you in the next video. [Music]

  1. I've done lots of rides at 5-10C (Spring in Quebec) and the wind chill effect is quite significant. Even riding at 30km/hr 5C will feel like 0 or even -5C. I always wear full leg warmers and even shoe covers, not to mention block off the holes in the helmet with foam and wear gloves. With only one jersey and no gloves, that must have been very cold on the descent where there is snow !

  2. I am really quite tempted to buy a Canyon bike since I have found your channel recently. Love my Cervelo but fancying something new and it could well be a Canyon. Maybe not this model but one i saw in one of your other videos, which I think is what you ride. Can't remember it's name. Anyway good video, thanks for posting.
