Don’t forget to stop at some of the beautiful beaches along the way and swim in the ocean!

  2. That saddle is an embarrassment to the sport but the setup is super solid, great trip.

My favorite towns on my Pyrénées tour, which mostly stayed on the French side of the border, were St. Giron and Pau. Pau isn’t really “in” the mountains, but it’s not a long detour and a nice place for a day off.

I cycled from Barcelna to Bilbao last november. The pyranees are beuatiful and you will see lots of lovely small towns out in the mountains along the way. In terms of camping, there’s plenty of open space out there to find spots to sleep in the forests, and generally people don’t mind youre presence even if you get seen pitching your tent. The one thing that you absolutely cannot do is light an open fire. they take this very seriously in Spain since wildfires can be a real problem, and you will be in a lot of trouble if you’re caught. Other than that, just be mindful of the wild pigs, there’s a lot of them and they will try and get into your tent if they smell food, especially fruit.

If you want a place to stay, pilgrim hotels are dotted along the Pyrenees for people doing the camino de Santiago. they are cheap (between 15 to 5 euros) and you will probably meet other travellers there too.

Good luck man, I’m sure it will be great.

How do you even fill all that Space in your bags. I genuinely haven’t seen people with moré stuff than you. Also not really adapted to Pyrenees with that much weight
