This weekend I went on a ~150 km bikepack leaving straight out of my door in Stockholm with the help of the commuter train to avoid some boring pavement kms. I recently relocated to this country (about 2 weeks ago) so this is my first bikepack adventure. Such a fun ride and despite the all day rain to start the adventure, I had a blast. Helps to have the right gear as everything stayed dry! Well other than my riding gloves, but it wasnt cold enough for my winter gloves so compromises.. Great variety of smooth gravel, rougher gravel, some pavement, and a bit of singletrack peppered throughout. The wet definitely made more of it hike-a-bike than planned, but type 2 fun is my favorite kind anyways.

I did this route in reverse order but either way works!

  2. I wish SJ would allow bikes on their trains. I would lo to bike Stockholm – Oslo and include this route.
